I am in no way a professional photographer, indeed I am more a 'point, click and pray for the best' type photographer, but this camera has made my results much better than expected. I actually got this camera as a second choice after the one I wanted was out of stock but I'm very glad I did.
The best way to explain how easy it is to use is to tell you that my three year old daughter can work it. It is small and light and takes both photographs and videos, the built in memory is quite small, at medium quality settings I can get around 18 pictures before the memory is full but it is easily expandable using a memory card.
Another point I really like is the battery. Instead of carrying 8 spare AA batteries round with you at all times, there is just one battery which comes with its own charger...no battery costs ! I charged the battery at Christmas and it is still 3/4 full.
A small flick of a switch and you can view photographs and videos already taken, singularly or in grids. Unwanted items can be deleted easily with a press of a button without scrolling through masses of menus, single photos can be deleted or the entire memory wiped and/or reformatted in one go.
On the bottom of the camera is a fitment to attach a tripod and on the side a small inobtrusive port for a USB cable for easy transfer to a computer or printer. My only complaint would be that the lens is very close to the side of the camera, not leaving much room for clumsy fingers like mine to get a good grip.
All in all a really simple, light camera with fantastic results.
