I was bought this printer for a christmas present of my mum and dad a couple of years ago. I chose it myself as I needed to make sure that the printer they got me could handle the pressure of an english literature student printing off reams of paper a day. I can honestly say, it does. The price was fantastic, we picked it up from Tesco for a mere £70. Great for a budget printer. Many people harp on about the price of the ink, but I find the price extremely reasonable (compared to lexmark ink prices, they are practically nothing). I do go through, probably 2 black ink cartridges a month, and I must print off about 2000 A4 sheets a month (full of writing). It was so easy to set up, just plug, insert the disk, follow the instructions and away you go. I did have a problem with it about a month after I had begun to use it. The paper had, for some unknown reason, jammed and I, wrongly, pulled it out. After that it kept screwing the paper up. I rang them up and said that it sounded like the paper drawing mechanism had snapped. They then rang my local Tesco and asked them if they could send the faulty one back to them and give me a brand new one. (And they sent me a voucher for a free ink cartridge...How cool) Since then I have had no problems whatsoever. The fact that it can scan, photocopy, print and print photos is fantastic, particularly for a student as photocopying on campus can be expensive. It takes 4 different size memory cards - 4. That includes mine, the fellas, and next doors. The buttons on the top may look difficut to understand, but they certainly are not. And the colour screen is mint too. I can print off on a draft mode and the paper whizzes through at probably something like 30 - 40 sheets per minute, and the quality is still great. All in all a fantastic printer and one I can safely recommend to anyone.
