The C4180 is by no means a cheap option for printing. I actually got mine for about £60 and since then the prices have increased. The deign is very typical of HP, with its white and grey colour scheme echoing around the printer. Over all quite a nice look but can get mucky... Built well withlots of hidden storage compartments for paper etc.
The scanner is HQ but can cometimes obsqueure light images/text leaving it invisble on the screen. Scanner can be used without a PC too with the controls on the left with help from the on screen menus. The screen again is very clear and bright, also has a sleep function so that turns the screen of it is unused for a few minutes, saving power.
Print quality is great, photo prints take about twice as long as regular prints, good quality photo prints and good standard prints, although nothing special.
The card readers have ports for XD, MS/DUO, CF, SD and MMC, again, you can print pics from these card straight from teh printer, no need for pc.
The reason i wouldn't recomend this printer is due to the fact its a HP. This means that you HAVE to buy HP ink, if you do find a cheaper brand ink its going to be in a refurbished catridge. Which means it probably wont work.
Over all, great features but nothin that really stands out from teh competition. Would recomend a diferent make simply because of Ink.
