Wireless Security
This router supports 64 and 128 WEP, WPA-PSK and WPA (Radius Server) encryption. Only the former 3 levels will be of interest to most people. I shall comment on these as I have no experience of how the router performs with a Radius Server.
64 and 128 WEP and WPA-PSK all work without issue on the 3 Belkin wireless cards, 1Pro Link and 2 un-branded cards I currently have in use with this router.
I have not noticed any drastic fluctuations in performance in using either 64 and 128 WEP and WPA-PSK.
Personally I always use the highest level of encryption available and drop back if there are compatibility/performance issues in a mixed ...

, the interface is very straight forward to configure. Main option being the Internet settings for your broadband, which usually consists of a username and password you set up with your ISP (Internet Service Provider). In my case, my settings are bit different as I'm with BE broadband (owned by O2) but even so, I managed to set it up for my ISP without any problems (with some helpful guidance from my ISP). Other ones being Wireless and it's security, and port forwarding, all of which are very easy to set up.
CONNECTIVITY (SPEED / RELIABILITY)
Overall speed of the connection varies from line to line and can be determined by many factors but the WAG160N was giving me around 8Mbit download speeds and a 1Mbit upload. On the windows icon, I am getting 270mb which drops to 240mb at night (when the wireless signal gets weaker), thats brilliant when you consider that SSID radio name is hidden, WPA2 is enabled, and MAC filtering is enabled. My signal is so strong I can even pick up my neigbours wireless network, which I could never do before.
Alll in all a great wireless router, with plenty of features and extras, such a network streaming files all over ther house, as its capable of streaming music and tv (at the same time!!) from your bedroom pc into your living room downstairs!!
I am still trying mines out and testing it. I would recommend you buy this fantastic piece of kit as it's future-proof technology ! ...
