Advantages: Slimline, only takes a few U's in the Rack. very reliable. Disadvantages: The new HP Smartstart is not as easy to understand as the original version.
...For those of you who aren't aware HP have taken over Compaq and rebadged compaq Servers with the HP badge.
This is just an upgrade to the Compaq Proliant DL380 G2.
You are still getting one of the most reliable servers in the industry for the right price.
They have also rectified the problem on the last model where there was only 4 bays for hard disks , there are now 6 bays, a FDD and a CD drive.
The server is a slimline model and for those of you who rack their servers, this is ideal as it only takes a few U in the rack.
I have built several of these without any real problems and all have been stable once built.
The only critisimn I can make is that Smartstart, a compaq utility to assist you in building these servers, has been rebadged, HP smartstart and given an overall and so far im not impressed, the screens don't flow...

Advantages: Solid, reliable and robust Disadvantages: none
...This product is a workhorse...
It is an extremely reliable server and is very robust. This is a server we use and is dedicated to working as a worldwide gateway to the corporate network and allows seamless transactions to take place. HP is a name that people can trust and this server will not disappoint the consumer. You get a lot of value for your money and you in turn get a very well made piece of kit that will serve you for many years. Whatever configuration you choose, you will be adding a solid member to your network. HP backup is also second to none should you need to use it and initial setup is easy even for the not so experienced techie to set up....

Advantages: EXCELLENT PRINT QUALITY Disadvantages: EXPENSIVE IF LOTS OF USAGE
.... In addition, you may make further savings by buying 2 cartridge blister packs.
INSTALLATION AND USAGE RECOMMENDATION
Installing the cartridge itself is simplicity itself, simply lifting the cartridge cover in the printer, removing the used cartridge, and then clicking the new cartridge in place and then replacing the cartridge cover. Simple instructions are included with the cartridge which you do not even have to read, as the instructions are done in a picture format.
With regards to the type of user, I would suggest that this is for the low to moderate user, and not recommended for a volume user e.g. office or school, or else you would be replacing the cartridges on a regular basis.
The cartridge contains HP pigment-based inks and I must admit, the quality is excellent but I would not recommend it for photo and special project printing.
