The HP ProLiant ML350 G4 is a traditional tower server refined with essential availability features to form a versatile, dependable backbone for expanding businesses and dedicated workgroups. The fourth generation ProLiant ML350 delivers enhancements in server design, compute performance, and availability. Whether your business supports data and transactions from 5, 100, or 1000 users, the ProLiant ML350 stays up and running with the help of its essential availability features. Redundant power, fan, and disk features (optional for most models) ensure that the ProLiant ML350 G4 continues to support your business in the event of a system power, thermal, or disk error. Hot plug support for SCSI drives (most models) and power supplies, not only keep your business running, but also simplify upgrades and part replacements. A new duplex SCSI backplane option enables cost-effective separation of RAID sets. The ProLiant ML350 G4 combines the latest Intel processor technology with performance I/O and memory technology at a price that fits tight budgets. Like a trusted business partner, the ProLiant ML350 G4 is accessible and easy to work with. Together, ProLiant Essentials software and Lights Out technology make server installation and management a snap. SmartStart, included in the ProLiant Essentials Foundation Pack shipped with the ML350, gets your server up and running in three easy steps. HP Systems Insight Manager keeps an eye on your server so that staff members can focus on priority projects. Alerts on system status can be delivered to you on your own terms. Get remote control with the Lights Out technology of RILOE II. View the server console and install updates anytime anywhere with RILOE II - even when the system OS is down. Clever businesses know that technology is one of the best ways to get a competitive edge. The ProLiant ML350 G4 gives your business infrastructure the runway it needs to get that edge. Processor and memory upgrades support additional users and boost response times. Rack the ProLiant ML350 G4 when physical location needs change. Incorporate tape backup solutions to protect business data. Attach a wide array of external storage and backup devices as data storage needs increase.

Review of HP ProLiant DL360 G4p - Xeon 3 GHz by grazza32

Advantages: Good workhorse server...easy configuration and setup of hardware and software with Top Tools
Disadvantages: Can be harder to configure internally due to lack of space although thats expected!!

...And im talking IBM, DELL, Fujitsui This particular model is a good work horse server ....can be used for a variety of things ..mailserver , webserver ..application server and is easy to customise for your own uses Out of the box it has easy configuration and setup of hardware and software with HP Top Tools software. After youve put your internal components into the server booot from the Top Tools CD and its a breeze to configure your hard drives and then once thats setup move on to the Operating system of your choice and away you go. These servers can be fully setup with Operating system installed in around 2-3 hours and then easily integrated into your existing enviroment!! Hp servers rule and no i dont work for HP just have to setup a lot of servers and HP are my own bullet proof choice!!... Read review

HP ProLiant DL380 G3
Review of HP ProLiant DL380 G3 - Xeon 3.06 GHz by 3lions

Advantages: Slimline, only takes a few U's in the Rack. very reliable.
Disadvantages: The new HP Smartstart is not as easy to understand as the original version.

...For those of you who aren't aware HP have taken over Compaq and rebadged compaq Servers with the HP badge. This is just an upgrade to the Compaq Proliant DL380 G2. You are still getting one of the most reliable servers in the industry for the right price. They have also rectified the problem on the last model where there was only 4 bays for hard disks , there are now 6 bays, a FDD and a CD drive. The server is a slimline model and for those of you who rack their servers, this is ideal as it only takes a few U in the rack. I have built several of these without any real problems and all have been stable once built. The only critisimn I can make is that Smartstart, a compaq utility to assist you in building these servers, has been rebadged, HP smartstart and given an overall and so far im not impressed, the screens don't flow... proliant ml350
Review of HP ProLiant ML350 G3 - Xeon 3.06 GHz by andrew6150

Advantages: lots of storage
Disadvantages: Slow when starting up

...This is a new server from compaq featuring its fast intel xeon processors which are both quad pumped meaning they can run multiple programes at the same time and also its ultra scsi harddrives featuring less access time to improve performance of the overall server. The compaq proliant ml320 server is very interesting to use as it comes witha range of instructions to guide you on how to setup the server and a range of utillities to guide you through the setup process on how to configue your server for the operating system of your choice. A number of operating systems can be installed on this server. The one ill recommend is windows xp 2003 server as it has many reliable server features and performance improvements. Another improvement is the security features and the new firewall built on the system.... Read review
