i recently had to purchase a new scanner as the one that i was using was not mine and the owner decided that they wanted it back after 3 months!
This scanner set me back £190 from Dabs.com and although i could find it cheaper on the internet it wasnt worth the hassle of saving a few quid using another website when i always have great service with dabs.
one of the main advantages of this scanner is that it is very very fast, in comparison to other scanners in its price range particularly when it comes to pictures or photos which i find very usefull and this speed does not detract from the quality of the items produced as if you the optimum dpi ( 2400 x 4800) the quality is exceptional. However I scan at around half this which still gives me exceptional quality at faster speeds and does not take up too much space o my already full hard drive!
The one main problem with this scanner is that it is a little bulky compared to other flat beds but this is not a major problem it just means for me placing it somewhere else other than in my handy scanner area on my computer table.
overall i would recommend this scannner if you want a high quality piece of kit that will enable you to scan great picture quality images until your hearts content!
