ScanJet - fast but inconsistent scans

Advantages: quick, decent software, good images after some repeats and fiddling
Disadvantages: inconsistent quality

film, and one for 120 and 220 medium format and 4 x 5? film. To scan you remove the mat from the top cover to reveal the transparency adaptor, place the template on the flatbed, and put the film in the template which is foolproof In the box you get: the HP ScanJet 4890 photo scanner, built-in slide and negative adapter and template kit, USB cable, power supply adapter/power cord, CDs with software and user instructions, setup poster, user's manual, warranty card My experience. Hp ScanJet 5370C well worth it

Advantages: Fast, good quality, and easy to set up
Disadvantages: quite large, and sensitive

I was looking for a new top of the range scanner, to go along with my Hp P1000 photo smart printer, so I needed one at a good price, but which had great quality scanning, and I found it. Everyone knows that Hp can be a bit pricey, but for around £130, this has to be worth it. It has a max resolution of 2400 x 1200 dpi (dots per inch), and this is ideal for enlarging pics and still keeping the quality in the picture. It is quick and as you can save the pics as jpegs, and other file types, it does'nt use alot of space on your hard drive. When loading a pictuer, you also have many functions, ranging from resolution, colour quality, lighting, and inlaging or decreasing the picture size. The scanner is slightly larger than the average flat bed scanner, but it is very user friendly, and has 4 short cut buttons on the front of it ...

The Bargainous HP ScanJet 3670

Advantages: Great quality Scanning for it's price
Disadvantages: a little bit on the chunky side

a good deal with this scanner. If you've got windows XP then the plug and play option the scanner gives you is fantastic! no setup required. you just plug in the USB cable and you're ready to go (the PC automatically detects the device) the one touch buttons on the scanners body also make quick scanning easy and practical. If you're not after a stylish scanner, and you want to save some dosh, then HP's Scanjet 3670 is a good choice ...
