Advantages: Light Weight, Fast Processor, Quite Disadvantages: Bigger than average
...This computer is a real gem. I love it. I found it just as is in the picture with the tower keyboard and mouse. The computer amazed me with how fast it is. I love the design of the computer very modern. I did have a slight issue with the Card Bay loose cable and compaq were so helpful and were able to sort the problem out in no time at all. I upgraded the RAM in the computer through compaq that cost be 25 pounds. I upgraded it from the 512 to 1gb I am pleased that I did this and I think with the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system it makes this computer perfect.
When I first brought this computer I paid £200.00 from currys. And from doing research I have found that this is the average price.
P.S The softwear that comes with the computer is brillitant as well some big names included.
Thanks for reading any question message me...

Advantages: Affordabe and reliable Disadvantages: Lack of memory, lack of speed
....
The dissadvantages about the 1246 is the fact that it only has 32 mega bytes of ram and a 4 gb hard drive, compared to many other laptops and Compaq products.
I feel that the Compaq provides the consumer with a reliable, sufficient, mobile PC that is at a price range many can afford.
For first time buyers, Students or just for someone that wants a bit of everything without the large price tag, you couldn't go far wrong if you bought a 1246.
For users that require large amount of memory and main concern is the speed of the PC, However, I would advise that the 1246 would not meet your requirements....
