It stores up to 24GB of compressed data on a single tape in just over three hours. The external SureStore can hold up to 24GB per DDS cartridge with compressed. It features up to 2MB per second transfer rate (with data compression) and has an internal head cleaner to reduce clogging. It has a DDS-3 format providing high reliability, capacity, and performance. The DAT24e comes with HP Colorado Backup II software, which provides a complete solution for desktop systems running Windows 95/98 and Windows NT Workstation and Replica Single Server software, which provides One Button Disaster Recovery for servers running Windows NT Server and NetWare 3.x and 4.x. The DAT24e also comes with HP TapeAssure, which guides you through the installation process and TapeAlert, which monitors the state of the drive and media and automatically notifies you when maintenance or media changes are required.
