Advantages: Fast, Fast, FAST!!! (Oh yeah... and easy to set up and use, too.)
Disadvantages: Huh?!!? No stereo speakers?!?!

Advantages: Trustworthy brand, great performance
Disadvantages: Plain looks, a little hot

...After having used this laptop recently, I was impressed by the speed of the system with the 1GB Ram in Windows. The onboard (shared) video card is the Radeon Xpress 200M which is quite good for windows applications, and even modest gaming with share size set to 128Mb. The 100Gb Hard Disk drive is spacious, and well paired with the DVD-RW Drive. This Compaq has several USB 2.0 Ports, Firewire, Ethernet, Modem, Wireless and an inbuilt Multi-Card Reader. It comes preloaded with Windows XP Home, and is Vista Capable, meaning it will upgrade seamlessly to Vista when it is released. The 15.4 Inch Widescreen TFT is crisp and clear, and has a max resolution of 1200x800 enabling great widescreen DVD Playback.
