Advantages: Very similar to Windows XP Disadvantages: Very different from Mac OS 9
..., click on the folder and there it is. This is a great time saver. Another great feature I found out recently is if you are saving a large document or making a PDF and you want to carry on working on something else on the computer you still can. This was never possible in Mac OS 9. This feature is available by pressing one of the F keys at the top of the keyboard - I only found this out by chance myself.
The only real disadvantage is that it is very different from OS 9 and does take a while to get use to. I think it is an advantage that the Mac is now being made to look more like a PC as I think this will increase its popularity and maybe even PC users could now easily use Macs.
As with all new operating systems it is best to make sure that the software you have installed on your computer is compatible with the new operating system before...

Advantages: Gets your photos etc from your phone onto the PC with ease Disadvantages: none that I can think of

Minimum RAM requirements: 32 MB under Windows® 98SE, and 98ME; 64 MB under Windows® 2000 and XP.
This software came free with my phone package but can be bought separately for around £20
Because my phone does not have Bluetooth or infrared this is the only way I have found to get things to and from my phone.

I wasn't very impressed with this and felt this option seriously lacked flexibility. The only saving grace it had was that you could specify the user account and password this task would run under to ensure it completed successfully even if someone else was using the PC
Finally, there is Disaster Recovery Preparation. This analyses the PC before recommending exactly what you need to do a full recovery from scratch in the case of total loss of the hard drive or a similar catastrophic failure. I tried it on a test laptop which it duly analysed before advising we needed a Windows XP Pro CD, 4 floppy disks and a blank DVD-R.
