well, this device if it had a metal case would be very efficient at cooking your breakfast not just its own hard drive. although i must admit that hp were kind enough to replace its hard disk drive twice in less than a month. 5 stars for that HP! but really in my own personal opinion this machine is heavily overpriced considering its performance. although it does look nice its comes with windows vista home premium installed which makes light work of this pc's lack of resources. and not forgetting the temperature issue, i have at this very moment checked the temperates and would like to say that under a very light load, (ie, only running mozilla firefox and zonealarm security suite and windows obviously) This pc will sit quite comfortably at a CPU temperature of 64*c and a GPU temp 54*c. personally i wouldn't expect to see this high of temperature unless this machine had been heavily overclocked, but at stock speeds this is crazy.
But there is a good side to my review... I must admit that this pc comes packed to the teeth with loads of extras. for one this is after all a fully functioning media center with a very nicely designed Infra Red Remote, a TV Card (RF Connection only) and a touchscreen that is so, em... well COOL the screen is attached to the rest of the pc but is fully adjustable. The speakers are contained in the screen on both side's and they are very capable of extreme volume. Also there are loads of nice little "quirks" in this pc's design like for example a full set of play buttons just below the dvd/cd rom drive which not only control the disk drive but also act as function buttons in windows itself.
