HP USB Docking Station

Advantages: Smart and tidy with excellent sound quality
Disadvantages: A little heavy

...We needed a new docking station and immediately we thought 'Bose', knowing that this was, in our opinion the best quality. Our Ipod was one of the cheaper ones but it makes no difference to the output of sound when in this docking station. It is Fantastic! The acoustics are great, base amazing and as the station is a little heavier, it is safe to place anywhere even with a toddler knocking the table every five minutes! It has a sleek design that looks perfect in the modern home. The sound is amazing! it has an easy to use compact remote control, which fits perfectly in your pocket. So while you are out having a BBQ in the garden and want to turn the sound UP or Down, it is simple and easy to do. You can also adjust the volume on the station with ease. Even at a high level, the sound comes out perfect...not distorted at all... Read review

...We bought one of these when we moved to using laptops (the study had to go when our first child was born). It was useful having a laptop that we could use any where in the house adn i was even taking it to work. I was getting fed up with plugging in printers, modems, keyboard, etc. Withing 20 minutes of getting it home it was up and working! we were able to get the newst drivers downoladed and it worked well with windows XP. Only one USB cable to plug in and lots of periferal devices ready to go. THE best bit ...... we had a minor problem with it BUT belkin has a lifetime garantee and they replaced it .... no problems, no questions! A great bit of kit! We love it!!... Read review

...In my opinion, a docking station is a must if you own a laptop that resides on your desk for a big proportion of its working life. Hence my title, the umbilical of life. With both my current and old HP laptop, i have owned a matching docking station and the only critisism would be the fact that the older docking station is not compatible with the newer laptop even though there is only a matter of a year or so between. After all they are the same manufacturer! With that aside, the rest of this review is nothing but praise for my docking station! Looks. Matches the laptop superbly in colour as both are finished in the graphite black /grey plastic. More block like that the previous Docking Station (DS) the shape and style of it lends itself to supporting a monitor. The old DS simply had the laptop covering the entire item... Read review
