This is a great product, however I would not recommend it if you frequently use your laptop whilst travelling. I would however recommend this laptop to those who have laptops at home. This is a great way to store your laptop. I found it easy to attach and quick to set up with no problems at all. The sound quality is great and I found it to be good overall. However this to me seems a more specialist product and the expansion base doesn't really offer ... ...you have the money to buy it, but I dont see it as particularly necessary for the laptop, it really is a glorified speaker system, but is one of those things thats clever but not necessarily required for your laptop.

Good storage solution for cables bit fiddly to sort.
Takes reasonable amount of space up.

Advantages: Storage is fantastic; speed is perfectly adequate; quieter than a desktop PC Disadvantages: Heavy, with few replaceable parts.
using the laptop for longer jobs at home.
The other solution is to use HP's docking station for their top end laptops, which raise the laptop up from the desk to your preferred height and angle, provide a wrist rest built-in, and provide all the resident links to printers, routers, external drives, TV aerial etc etc.
I opted for the second - using the HPxb3000Notebookexpansionbase for the purpose. It means that only one keyboard layout has to be used ever, and that does save old guys from needless confusion.!
5 Portability.
The laptop concept used to be that you could easily carry all your work around with you. As laptops have increased in size to provide bigger screens and better storage, so many of them have been designed as stay-at-home machines for lugging round the house rather than lugging round London on a summer's day ...
