To install software on the Ipaq is effortless, The program you want to install will be on your main computer, install it as if you were installing it for your desktop/laptop PC and your computer will do the rest provided your H1910 is connect via the data cable.
This was my frist ever hand held PC! I was absolutely amazed by it's processing power and capabilities as a really small computer system. This comes with 64mb of ram however quite alarge amount of this gets taken up by the sytem itself, so in essence you can only really store two mp3 albums on it's internal memory alone.
This wouldn't be an ideal MP3 player or movie player, it'd have to be strictly work and documents!
There are many add on programs that you can get for these little critters, my favorite is SPB Pocket plus, you can then add themes, wallpapers and all the system info is included on the desktop.
The problem with this compared to todays new PDAs is that it doesn't have wireless or bluetooth connectivity which is a bit of a downside if your using it in conection with your pcs at home or at work and if you want to synchronize it wirelessly with your mobile phone! The Ipaq has USB connectivity and Infrared.
You can pick these up now in very good condition for next to nothing and they do make organising alot easier, it comes with pocket word, excelt and windows media player and a calculator for all your basic needs. To pass time away pocket solitaire is also included on this little machine.
When you buy this product it comes in a nicely presented box, with a CD, Data Cable, Power Adapter and many Ipaq features.

I havent had any problems with this as yet, it's easy to use and very fast for what it is, i'd recommend this if you want a PDA to get started with if not a newer one would suit you better because of the more advanced features, BlueTooth and bigger memory. Hp ipaq points are a good plus.
Advantages: looks good , Light weight and small Disadvantages: No SDIO no Bluetooth

a second thing that i noticed is that there isnt much user memory set on the uniy as it can be changed in the control panel by sliding the pen from Program (which is your actual ram to load programs) to Storage (which ...

Advantages: Slim, compact and ease of synchronisation Disadvantages: Lack of suitable case/sleeve
...I shopped around and the HP IPAQ Pocket PC 1910 seemed a compact, reasonably priced PDA that would give me what I wanted.
The item itself comes with a removeable / re-chargeable battery, USB synchronisation Cable (this bit makes it all easy for me!), AC adapter, stereo earpiece, charger adapter (connected to the AC Adapter). A CD is provided that contains various software applications such Outlook and ActiveSynch.
The PDA has Pocket Word and Pocket ... ...are several nice features such as the record button - handy for quicki verbal notes, and the 2.5mm audio jack / earpiece allows the PDA to be used for playing music files (separate software required).
Programmes such as Pocket Word and Pocket Excel I have found not to be very practical to use with the small screen size, but the "notepad facility that allows to write freehand on the screen using a sylus is very handy for writing notes.
What did ...

Advantages: Powerful and adaptable, easy to tailor to individual requirements Disadvantages: Low battery life, heavy drainage
It was not the intention to arrive home as the new owner of a Pocket PC, however on the day it was purchased my funds could not quite stretch to a laptop and i needed something a little more sophisticated than a databank to organise my hectic business life.
After considering all of the options and financial situation, I plumped for the attractive little iPAQ 1940. First impressions were excellent. I was able to try out a number of features inside ... ...was quick, easy to access and seemed relatively reliable. It was my first expreience of Windows for Pocket PC and users used to the friendly interface of Windows 98 and beyond will be instantly at home with the Pocket PC.
Controlling the iPAQ is via a very small stylus which if placed anywhere other than its holder (built inside the top of the iPAQ) is extremely easy to lose! Mastering the use of the stylus was tricky, but after a few practice attempts ...
