Hello there and this is my second review

The PDA comes in a box with a PC USB lead a Software CD containig the Operating System some softwares and the OS serial a charger an adaptor for the charger all the manuals a battery and a pair of 2.5mm jack heraphones.

when the battery is inserted for the first time the handhel prompts you for a quck setup e.g. calibration user greeting,
the menu is pretty easy to use if you know how to operate windows, htere isnt a big choice of pre installed software on the handheld appart from pocket work and pocket excell, one of the first thing i notice is that media player is missing and that if you want it you have to install it from a file which can be found on the cd given with the handheld,
a second thing that i noticed is that there isnt much user memory set on the uniy as it can be changed in the control panel by sliding the pen from Program (which is your actual ram to load programs) to Storage (which is your actual Storage space)which gets shared from the internal 46MB.

the method of connection used by the unit are USB connection which is basicly a lead which connects the PDA to a PC or IR(InfraRed)connection which connects to IR enabled devices for data transfer or to a Mobilephone as a IR Modem.
The Lack of Bluetooth as made the device pointless to the other of its kind because of the inability of connecting to a wireless GPS unit(Global Positioning System) or satellite Navigation and worst of all impossible to connect to HP's and Compaq's Accessories e.g. Keyboard cameras because the serial connector is upside down and accessories for this device havent been relesed reducing the capabilities of this device to a minimum even if could been able .

On the other hand the Screen which is TFT Transflective Matrix is able of displaying 64k colours making it a good device for displaying pictures.

The hand held also works as a DVR (Digital Voice Recorder) which is ery usefull in meetings or just to make a quick memo to self.

the device has several handwriting recognition programs built in including the one used by palm and can be activated anytime or used instead of the keyboard.

At the bottom of the unit you can find four shortcut keys and a five way scroll key which hides a little speaker able to play any sound in Dual Mono (both left and right channels mixed into a unique one)

At the top you can find a SD slot a 2.5mm jack input the stylus housing with the stylus te power button and a microphone.

On the right hand side there is a security catch for the back cover which when released the cover comes off revealing the battery and the PDA switches off .

On the left hand side you can find the catch for a wrist strap or a neck strap a IR interface a shotr cut key to memo and a reset switch which can only be pushed if done with a stylus.

A problem which can be encountered is the lack of a protective casing exporing the unit to everyday wear.

the unit runs Pocket PC 2002
and has a total memory or 64MB gets shared between Ram and Firmware.
Prices are about 180GBP

I Would Reccomnd this to a person that loves gadgets but doesnt want to spen too much on a PDA , or someone that wants to replace their Paper based diary with the latest technology or someone that wants to play solitaire wile travelling as it emulates the same version as the one on the normal PC platform.
