Must read - HP iPAQ Pocket PC Rz1710 explained

Advantages: Cheap, small, productive and capabilities
Disadvantages: Lacks intergrated bluetooth and wi-fi

This award-winning PDA or Palm top computer has a solid combination of productivity and small form factor. Hosting a SDIO slot, it is capable supporting SD/MMC standard type memory cards meaning you can use the memory card to hold up to 2GB of data, more then enough for hundreds of documents. You will always be on top of scheldule with the handy and well designed 'to-do' list and ensuring that the device is not just for work purposes, the device quite cleverly stores and plays music, videos and photos. For the more chatty amongst us, the HP iPAQ also comes with MSN Messanger. At 70 x 13.4 x 114 mm and weighing only 120 grams, its thin and light enough to slip into the inside of a suit pocket quite comfortably. It features IrDA so if you have PC or Laptop which features IR, which a lot of laptops do, then transferring files suddenly ...

HP iPAQ Pocket PC H5450

Advantages: Fingerprint Scanner, WIFI
Disadvantages: Size, Battery

HP iPAQ Pocket PC H5450 The Hewlett Packard IPAQ H5450 is one of the first PDA's ever supporting WIFI. It is one of the more older Pocket pc's still available today. This PDA also boosts Bluetooth An Ir for transferring files between devises. A fingerprint scanner for added security is also added which works very well indeed. the devise itself is strong and feels stable, the battery life is OK with at leased a full days use. This Pocket PC is definitely for the more Heavy Duty user On The block, with the ability to add peripherals such as Bar code reader and added memory through its SD card slot. in the end what can i say i loved this pda Pros: Fingerprint Scanner, WIFI Cons: Size, Battery ...

HP iPAQ Pocket PC Hx4700

Advantages: Great screen, all the connectivity you could possible need
Disadvantages: Looks and size

I have been a fan of the Ipaq since the days of the old Compaq 3600 (way back in the summer of 99!). Since then I have had the Ipaq 5500 (the finger print reader) and now onto my third the new HX4700 (the one with the track pad!). Being familiar with the Ipaq's of old, the first thing I noticed when I unpacked the box was how thin the new Ipaq was, very thin, when compared to my old 5500. The looks though may not be to everyone's tastes, but it does the job. I have noticed though that HP seem to be getting more and more stingy on the "included" accessories. No more slip on case, spare pens nothing! With the 4700 all you get is the one stylus, a docking cradle and a plastic flap/cover for the screen. Hmmmm not looking too good so far then. Once charged - and this was quick about 3hrs! I powered up and immediately saq where ...
