Getting lost is my specialist subject. Unless I can be directed via public houses I can get lost as soon as I leave the end of my street. You may laugh but it is a serious concern for me as I panic when going anywhere new in the c ar. The fear of getting lost is overwhelming so paying £250 for the HPiPAQRx5935 TravelCompanion was a small price to pay for a little bit of reassurance on my travels.
The specs for the Rx5935 as outlined within the instruction manual are:

Advantages: Latest model PDA, large amount of memory, up-to-date sat-nav, great value. Disadvantages: Sometimes freezes up, GPS can take some time to lock in to satellites.
Oh no, my trusty psion has shuffled off... what now? Being totally unaware of what was available 8 years on, it took some research, but this seemed to be a steal - an HP PDA masquerading as a tom-tom sat nav, for less than either a HP PDA (without tom-tom software), or indeed a tom-tom sat nav! For good measure it has 2gb of memory (loads) and a slot for a standard SD card of up to 2gb.
It has met its expectations. It is lightweight but strong enough, pretty simple to get going and connect to my pc. It doesn't crash too often. The inbuilt software is basic but functional and some agenda software from the hp site (free to customers) soon improved matters.
It is used as a diary, contacts book, media-player, sat-nav and jotter. I'm not bothered by mobile internet & e-mail, so I got the 5720 and not the version with wi-fi. The bluetooth ...
Advantages: Easy to use. Disadvantages: None yet. Will update.
I have just joined Ciao community to put the record straight on this PDA. A previous Ciao reviewer has given a negative review. I have only owned the PDA (HPiPaq 214 Enterprise Handheld) for two days. I believe I was one of the first in the UK to receive this machine as it became available from 25th January 2008. I was almost put off buying the iPaq by the other review here, but decided to give it a try. I am glad, as the PDA does everything a PDA should and at a very good speed and price. The other review here is definitely not for the iPaq 214. How did he get it some months before anyone else? The description bears no resemblance to my iPaq 214. The reviewer says the camera is appalling and defunct - it does not have a camera at all, so that clears that up. It does have 128 MB SDRAM and 256MB flash ROM, mine also came with 1GB SD card ...
