I moved to HSBC (Midland at the time) for the large overdraft and Graduate Loan with the Graduate Bank account. My original account (I won't mention names) wouldn't give me a Graduate Loan, due to 'too much reliance on my oberdraft'. HSBC were a lot more accomodating and accepted my overdraft and also gave me the loan, which I needed for a car to help me find work.
Regarding the overdraft, I have learnt from a colleague that some account only offer a two year free overdraft. However HSBC have given me a three year free overdraft.
Since being there I have found the service good. I have no complaints, and life with HSBC has been easy sailing. I can't say they are better than any other account, because I have never ran into any problems, but that in itself says they are good.
I have been using the TELEPHONE BANKING for some time now. I found it easy to set up, and it is very easy to use. I, myself, mostly use it for checking my balance.
I have only recently started using the ONLINE BANKING, so can't add an awful lot. I lost my login ID recently though, due to it being on a card. However the girl on the phone was helpful and is sending another in the post.
