Having had one of hsbc's gold cards for a couple of years now i must say i am happier with it than with the standard card i had before, this is due to the extra benefits you get. Recently I had a problem with an overseas company whom I had been paying by Direct Debit on my credit card. I asked them to deal with it, they did very quickly and replied in writing with a satisfactory answer within days. I was impressed with the speed and accuracy. Also web site banking makes the handling of this account very easy. By using the HSBC web site you are able to make payments to your credit card account, thus doing away with the need to use the postal service and phone banking. Naturally you are also able to check out the progress of indiviual payments and the runnung balance of ... more
