Recently I had a problem with an overseas company whom I had been paying by Direct Debit on my credit card. I asked them to deal with it, they did very quickly and replied in writing with a satisfactory answer within days. I was impressed with the speed and accuracy.
Also web site banking makes the handling of this account very easy. By using the HSBC web site you are able to make payments to your credit card account, thus doing away with the need to use the postal service and phone banking. Naturally you are also able to check out the progress of indiviual payments and the runnung balance of your account. I use a number of bank web sites and I have to say that HSBC has the best by far. It enables you to control your accounts with the greatest ease, compared to other banks.
