I asked for a credit card after three months of opening the account. I was approved straightaway with a £250 limit @ 18.9%. Everytime i called, the customer service was good. Only thing is, they never shared my information with credit reference agencies. After i wrote a letter, they changed the account info & shared it with equifax and experian. I asked for a limit increase after about a year and they increased it to £1250. They upped the limit again on my request after another six months. Also they changed the interest rate when i called them to reduce the APR. They reduced it to 14.9% which is a competitive APR. So far, HSBC is been very good to me. I would recommend it to everyone.
