I joined HSBC (Formerly Midland) when i was 14 as a Livecash customer. I am now 16 and a 16-19 Year old account customer.
I havent had any problems with the service, its products or facilities in the 2 years i have been with them.
The HSBC accounts are kept up to date, the SOLO card that i hold arrived without any problems and I havent had any problem using the card. The interest rate on accounts is reasonable, the ATM machines are usually in ful working order and HSBC doesnt charge for withdrawals from NatWest ATM's.
There are many other elements of the service that make a good bank, but at the moment, HSBC fulfills my requirements in full. So for the forseeable future, i will be staying with HSBC
Advantages: Internet banking, that way i can avoid speaking to customer services!! Disadvantages: Staff are incompetent. Branch facilities poor.Counter service slow!! Take your bed with you!!
