Advantages: sturdy and great fun Disadvantages: the children fight over it
this - with much adult involvement and encouragement, of course.
My only complaint is that my own fat bum could not possibly fit between the rails. Having said that, I have used the slide as a stepladder at times, and it is quite sturdy enough to take my weight. (Believe me, I am a considerable weight!) The latest fun game involving this ever-adaptable piece of equipment is 'King of the Castle', which involves the children taking it in turns to stand on the platform, and then push each other off. Luckily, it is so sturdy and well made that this has not yet caused any serious accidents.
I think it's extremely likely that I'll be able to sell this in a year or two for about a fiver. They are very poplar locally, and get snapped up secondhand whenever they are on sale.
I have seen other brands of slides, and some larger ones may ...
Advantages: Keeps kids amused for hours, good value for money Disadvantages: None that I can think of
, great value for money, great fun for the kids and I think it's really safe to use. It doesn't kill the grass as we put it away every night, this takes no longer than 10 minutes.

We do actually own the film on VHS somewhere which shows how old it is. I remember first watching it on TV though a few years ago. There are some recognisable actors involved and I quite like Gwyneth Paltrow. I think she is a very good actress and even though she does not appear in big blockbusters, all her films are soft and well performed. So after discovering this was on I was pleased of the choice as it is ...
