    4 Stars HTC 7 Trophy: Good features except the phone functions 05/01/2013

    Advantages Advantages Easy to set up & use, Facebook integration, good app selection, excellent Outlook function, sleek

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Phone functions are pretty average, poor battery life, poor video capability

    ~ Why I Own an HTC Trophy ~ I thought it was useful from a 'scene setting' perspective to explain briefly why I have an HTC 7 Trophy. Through my work, my employer likes to squeeze as much work out of us as possible, and ensure it can contact people out of hours. I was therefore provided with an old Nokia phone. Sadly, this one broke about the same time that my employer decided it would be much better if staff could also check emails in their own time.     I bought this phone when Windows Phone 7 first came out, and as a previous Windows Mobile 6.5 user I believe they have done an outstanding job with this. My previous phone was a Omnia which ran on the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system, but this was sluggish and I often found it crashing the device. With Windows Phone 7 though, from the day I got it to the day of this review, I've never once had the phone freeze on me. This would make it the most reliable phone I've ever owned, and for that it deserves a Trophy!The Trophy was an entry level phone but don't let the CPU speed and the RAM put ... more

    HTC's Trophy running Windows Phone 7 is a brilliant example of good things to come from both Microsoft and HTC. This phone is quite simply amazing. It has a great battery life is packed full of features and looks the business.     The HTC Trophy 7 is one of the first mobile phones from HTC to feature the new Windows Phone 7 Operating System (Now 7.5). The operating system in my opinion is fantastic, and I would highly recommend a windows phone to anyone, especially this one. The phone itself features a beautiful design. It is quite thin (but not too thin so that it feels weird) and feels comfortable in your hand. All of the external buttons are easy to access and use, and the camera is a good quality.     HTC Trophy looks a lot like the other members of the company. The only thing that differentiates it is the windows mobile 7 (wm7) operation system. In fact build quality and the general design is pretty standard so if you are not aware of the differences between android and wm7 you cannot find any particular reason to buy Trophy instead of (let's say) desire. I also find the camera performance disappointing despite the 5MP and the auto focus. It is better than HTC Wildfire because it has better screen resolution. It is better than HTC Mozart in terms of camera quality. I would recommend it ... more
