Advantages amazing camera, amazing processor and RAM, good screen, strong

Disadvantages battery life

I first got this phone on my 18th birthday as I was asking for a new phone, with my previous phone being the samsung jet there would obviously be huge changes for me. At first look at this phone I loved the square shape of it, with the top speaker adding a sort of elegance to it. Once I turned the phone on I quickly put my sim card in to see the speed of the internet and i was amazed, it look literally one second load an average webpage and 2 - 3 seconds to load a highly graphical webpage. This made a huge difference to me as the speed of the internet makes a big difference to me. I next went onto youtube to see the buffering speeds and was extremely glad that i did not have to wait for the video to buffer and it was faster than the speed of watching it.

Download speeds were also very fast on the 3g internet, downloading at rates of 130kbps which is extremely fast for 3g. Over wifi this increased dramatically to around 600kbps which made me very happy. I was also very happy with the 4.3 inch screen as it was very sharp and the resolution is amazing. It is not as good as the iphone but the difference is not noticeable in my opinion.

The android market is also amazing, with thousands of useful apps and games you are never bored with the phone as there is always something new to do. Playing games like angry birds and fruit ninja I never had any problems with lag and the games played perfectly.

Next i tried to type a few messages to see the ease of typing and I was also impressed, I could nearly type half as fast as on a laptop without making many mistakes. I was also very impressed with the camera as the 8mp was very sharp and clear, the one downside is that it can be difficult to take a picture sometimes as there is no dedicated camera button on the phone and you must use the touch screen. Besides this problem I was very happy with the camera.

One more issue I have which is also a huge issue is the battery life. I can understand why as the phone is very large and can drain a lot of battery, but HTC's idea to put a 1300mAh battery was pathetic in a phone of this capacity. The battery has had a maximum life of 8 hours when having wifi, GPS location and auto sync on and a life of around 13 hours without these on with a moderate use.

Overall I think the phone is amazing and can compete with any phone on the market but the battery life is the one thing holding it back
