Not one of the best but...

I have been using HTC desire Z for some time now , Not my first android phone so android experience was not the jaw dropping for me on this phone , but yes the HTC sense is neat , not just on the phone , but few of the online htc sense features that are offered are really nice ! As i said in the summary this is not the best , but this phone has lot of great features which is ofcource value for money that you pay .

Screen is neat and very responsive with the touch , you dont get the feel like some of the other cheap android phones . the wide 3.7 inch screen gives you a very good experience when watching videos or playing few of the good animation games in android, on the go .

The big and smooth qwerty keyboard was one of the reason which attracted me towards this phone , as if you are one of my kind of person who loves to write alot , like messages or big emails on the run , this keyboard can be very helpful . the keys are very smooth as well . Taking about the key board , the screen flips over the key board in a very different way , you might want to check this out on youtube (i liked that smooth flip when i bought it) . I didn't know that smooth flip of the phone wouldn't remain the same over the time , Over the time after some rough usage , you will feel the a separation appearing in between the screen and the keyboard when the keyboard is closed . But it depends on the usage or person . The keys are separated with each other on the keyboard which is an advantage .

One of the most important thing , when looking at the phone , on the left had side of HTC mark on the screen you can see a camera kind of thing , dont be fooled by thinking its a front cam , because its not . Its a sensor (for brightness) .

Trackpad is an added advantage , but trust me you wont get to use it enough , you can do most of the things by screen touch. I only use it some time to make sure it works :-) . But its smooth and gives a very nice response .

Camera quality is pretty neat , a 5MP with flashlight and 720p HD video recording , make sure you change the factory settings of the camera , with the default mode i experience the photos had a lot of temperature / contrast in it .

battery life is good to what i believe , which is one thing subjective to usage, but with my usage the battery lasts for 1.5 - 2 days . where HTC hero just lasted 1 day .
The body of the phone is nicely made , and gives a feel of the phone in hand . And this weight also supports , when the phone is used with open keyboard mode . The weight is equally balanced between the screen and the keyboard side , which dosent give a uneasy feel .

The back piece which comes out when you need to take out battery is metallic and this material gets scratches easily . I wont recommend keeping this phone in the same pocket with the keys .
The big volume buttons can be used while on the call , and you dont even need to look for them , its so easily reachable .
The speakers are not that great for listening to music , but i dont use them . The music quality with a average headset is quite nice .
At the moment the android version available is 2.3.3 and HTC sense version is 2.1 which i dont understand why is not been upgraded . ( i hate HTC for not giving an update for this .)
I have tried to make this review specific to this phone and not about the extra good features available with android . If you are looking this one to be your first android phone , i think its really worth it . With a price of close to 280 /- , the features and style in this phone is unmatched .

A good start here, why not try writing your review in a Word document to hunt out spelling and grammatical mistakes and then copy onto Ciao? :o)
