Well I got this phone and wow...Its big the screen is big, the processor inside is even bigger. Its hard to explain the smoothness of the phone once it has started, however compared to my iPhone it is smooth and that is saying something.
With Windows Mobile 6.5 as the operating system the amount of software and customisation available is really out of this world.

Emails Well it took me about 60sec to setup my email account and it all worked right away. Nice and simple. I use both Exchange for my work emails and Hotmail for my personal emails and they both have there own mailboxes. No more mixed work and personal emails. BTW I setup both accounts in the above mentioned 60secs. When I compare that to getting my old iPhone to connect to my exchange server the experience was far more taxing...
Connecting to the Computer Pretty simple. Plug in cable wait a few moments all done. No need for any CD's or additional driver updates, installation of software suites. Just plug and go. Plus the phone charges while its plugged in.
Taking pictures and Videos Again pretty simple. The quality was great once I change the capture resolution from Widescreen to standard. The camcorder function was great the with the MP4 but not so great with the H.253
Interface Lots of eye candy which works well as it does not seem to be slow or jittery as on other phones that I have seen. However the touch screen is little too sensitive at times. Though this can be fixed by downloading a small program which reduces the screen sensitivity.
Advantages: wonderful screen, amazing feature list, a verifiable power house. Disadvantages: gets warm under heavy use, a tad bulky, poor legibility of screen under direct sunlight
Now before i begin this review I must confess to being a technophile. I love all things technical and modern which means that i tend to gravitate towards high end devices. I had been looking for a new device and I began the intensive process of seeking a new ~ahem~ assistant.
Upon seeing the HTC touch HD i was immediately impressed by its looks. I had considerd HTC before with their tytn II but was put off by a device that didnt have any style whatsoever. Not with the Touch HD. The device is simply gorgeous to look at and has a look and design that will age very well indeed. I always demand both power and looks. I purchased it there and then. Now lets look at the device in a little more detail.
*Packaging*
The HD comes in a very simple box which when opened has the device out on the top waiting for you to look at. All its ...

Advantages: Has every feature you could wish for, good build quality, well thought out interface Disadvantages: Big, Not for everyone
the phone's microphones seemed to provide, supposedly there's some noise cancellation at play, ultimately I just found it to be useful which is a huge change from the speakerphones I have used before.
Final Assessment
I bought the HTC TP2 because I wanted a phone that could do anything I wanted it to, the Windows Mobile Operating system provided me with that flexibility whilst HTC's software and hardware made the experience a little more easy. The hardware is too bulky for image conscious people and I would suggest the similar but faster HD2 for people who want the most powerful phone money can buy (it is outstanding) but for general purpose business and educational use I would say it is difficult to go wrong with a phone that can do so much. ...

Manufacturer's product description
HTC HD2 delivers an experience your senses have been waiting for. The unprecedented 4.3-inch pixel-packed display is stunning. The world's first capacitive touch technology on a Windows phone along with 1 GHz processing power ensure a smooth and lightning-fast response to the lightest touch of your finger. Most importantly, it is the first Windows phone to embody HTC Sense - a holistic experience that focuses on making phones work in the most intuitive way. HTC Sense is based on three core principles - make it mine, stay close, and discover the unexpected.HTC HD2's expansive display is like a canvas on which you create a phone that is just right for you. Customize the phone by prioritizing essential features like mail, calendar, messaging, browser and more. Next, with just a tap, put shortcuts to the most important people, favorite websites, or most used application right on the home screen. Your phone doesn't only reflect your personality; it also tunes into your location. The clock automatically updates to the local time wherever you are. You can see the outside temperature and weather at a glance. And, if you choose the weather wallpaper, you'll get a brilliantly lifelike animation that lets you virtually feel the sun's rays or the chill of the breeze without setting a foot outside.
