Review of a Year with a HTC...

If you are someone that loves a phone that is full of features HTC Androids are the way to go. They are full of customisable options that I feel makes this a good phone!
When I was looking for a phone after my previous contract had expired I wanted something that was never boring full of features and something that wouldn't get old. I was not disappointed with what I got.

Look & Feel

This phone is a very good looking phone. From the trackball that lights up when you get a text to the chin that hugs your face when you are on the phone. Everything about this phone is lovely. The downside though to the hardware is the buttons I feel that the buttons are very fiddly and when you want to use them with one hand this could prove very hard.
Durability & Robustness

I have had this phone for over a year now and I can say this is very robust. I'm not very good with phone's I don't keep them in cases with screen protectors so i often end up after a year with a very shabby phone. this one has taken a few knocks and it is looking very scratched but the point is that it has been dropped a fair few times and it isn't broken.
The bad side I would think would be the fact that the back cover is held in place by a very few flimsy plastic clips. These have now broken on my phone and the case doesn't sit as snug next to the phone as it used to.
The phone is still functional but after a year’s use it is starting to slow down considerably. I recently did a benchmark and the results were extremely low to how it used to be when I first got it. I have re-installed everything but it still doesn’t run as smoothly as I would like it to.

Battery standby time

I have put low mark here for a very good reason the applications that you get with the phone are extremely power hungry and they will suck the battery dry. When I used it when I first got it I was very excited connected it up to the wi-fi and downloaded and used loads of apps. This drained the battery and I was playing for about 3 hours. This said I feel that the standby time is quite good and the speed of the charge is very good indeed there is no need to have to change it overnight.
Value for Money

I got this phone free on a contract where I was spending £35 a month. This phone I feel with the amount of features that it offers and also with the fact that it is timeless and doesn’t go out of fashion is worth every penny.

Range of Features

Android phones have a huge variety of apps that you can purchase making your time with this phone never dull. The home page is fully customisable which I felt made this phone even better because you can change it and it feels like you have a whole new phone. It has all the top features such as wi-fi and 3g meaning that when you are roaming and still need the internet the information will get to you very fast. I have downloaded many apps and have always been able to find something that has caught my attention and kept me occupied.

To conclude if you are looking for a beginner phone for android this is the one not too many features and very easy to use but if you are a power hungry run all the apps at the same time kind of person like myself you may want to consider paying a little bit more money and getting newer generation phone.
