Whilst the HTC Touch HD may not be a household name like the iPhone, but in my opinion is defiantly a serious competitor.
The best feature is it's 3.8 inch, WVGA screen- thats much bigger than the iPhone. This means you can watch videos and films the way they were intended.
The camera 5MP camera is excellent and produces stunningly rich, vivid and warm shots. The video quality is also pretty good and you can upload them directly to YouTube. The huge screen isn't only useful for watching films. You can also view full web pages in Opera Mobile with no need for cut down pages. It has super fast HSDPA (3.5G) internet as well as 3G, EDGE and GPRS, WiFi is also included as well as Bluetooth meaning your never short on connectivity. You can also play all your music straight from the home screen, via the included 8GB micro SD card and 3.5mm headphone jack.
There is also a GPS receiver built it meaning you can navigate you way around with the Built in Google Maps, or which every mapping service you prefer.
As it runs Windows Mobile 6.1, you also get the use of Microsoft Office Mobile (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) which included Outlook. Couple this with your businesses Exchange Server and you can access your emails as they arrive via Direct Push. You also have access to literally thousands of third party programs, both free and paid for.
I haven't had any problems with this phone at all, but any problems can usually be fixed with a simple phone call to HTC or via internet forums which are full of highly useful information. You also get free software updates from HTC periodically.
