Advantages: Good music and call clarity. Infinite Upgrade Possibilities. Disadvantages: Texting can be slow and cumbersome.Slow to boot.
...comparison to the iPhone the HTC is slow to boot but easier to upgrade and somewhat easier to use. Texting is a nightmare without the stylus or small fingers. Music quality is good from the included ear phones and call clarity is fantastic even on crowded buses and trains. The overall design of the HTC is more compact that the iPhone and the included case allows for much easier transportation. The bulkier iPhone can be a nighmare in a shirt pocket. ... ...on the iPhone but of good standard on the HTC. Bigger and Flash orientated sites have a significant effect on the HTC with slower page loads. However for quick cinema listing checks or Google Map usage, both are excellent.
HTC's Touch range is a great buy in my book. ...

Advantages: Customizable, Great video, User-Friendly Disadvantages: Weak Battery, Faulty software
The HTC Touch is a reliable mobile phone with many perks and downfalls, which would depend mostly on your familiarity with electronics.. The phone uses Windows Mobile 6 software which is a very customizable software which can allow you to add programs, games, software which you may want or need. the downfall to this is it requires being able to find the files and programs which you need that can then all be loaded to your phone via ActiveSync software ... ...recording. The downfall to the HTC Touch is that it can from time to time run very slowly..its pricy for the issues that it may have down the road, without frequent updates the software on the phone may become slow and problems with the phone freezing may increase. the phone is durable and can take a beating (trust me i've experienced this first hand) it comes with a slot for a microSD card for memory but only comes with a default 512 mb storage ...

Having bought tow HTC touch phones to run some software - how would I comment...?
They're all right, they do the job (most of the time).
If you're a fan of the craze of smaller is better - yes they're compact, near and feel brilliant in you hand, but don't lose the stylus (or the spare one...) or if you do you'll have to find someone with childlike fingers with just enough fingernail to do the job adaquately. The screen can sometimes be unresponsive ... ...then you end up opening up a whole host of other programmes you both didn't want and didn't realise you'd pressed. Although they do have a nice little feature of a whole screen drag which you can use your finger to grab the screen and scroll down rather than use the scroll menu. Outside the screen and menus can be difficult to see making the accuarcy needed of your stylus working to increase a good few skill levels!
So yes they run the latest software ...

Advantages: touch screen, stylish, lots on it, memory Disadvantages: hard to txt a lot,
I got the HTC touch as an upgrade, recommended to me by the man who sorted out my upgrade, i was very impressed when i first recieved it, nice packaging and well presented. After a few problems upgrading i turned the phone on,. Took a while at first but worth waiting for, very easy to use with lots of things to do on it. The tough flo is great when on the move like on the bus or train. Just a quick movement up the screen with your thumb bringsyou ... ...many other options. Nice and styleish, fits nice in your hand with the stylus tooked away in the top. The cam is not the best and its quite hard to txt if your in a hurry and you always need to use the stylus, but that being the only downside, i do like the phone, easy to use with wireless connection, games, 2.0mg cam, microsoft word and windows mobile 6.0.The touch screen is good and is quite responsive, although the procesor can be slow sometimes ...

Advantages: Thin Form factor, Software customizability, PDA features, Windows compatibilty Disadvantages: No GPS, 3G and hardware keyboard
The HTC Touch is a decent PDA (Windows Mobile 6) powered smartphone, which is particularly great due to its thin form factor and light weight. The HTC Touch is mainly touch operated and proposes a 'revolutionary' Touch Flo interface. The strength of the touch is that interface and applciations can be completely customised through some tweaking available at xdadevelopers.com, and in fact mine Touch is mainly now finger touch operated, making the stlyus ... ...underpowered (you will notice this underpower when using some power hungry apps such as opening a picture hungry webpage), has no GPS and no 3G connectivity. The touch is recommended for those which are on a tight budget, require a good pda and a decent phone but not the ultimate technology. I am very satisfied with it and would certianly repurchase it. However if you are an SMS hungry person, I would recommend you try out the various possible input ...

HTCTouch Pro 2
It wasn't all too long ago that I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of HTC's first Touch Pro handset, but when I did get my hands on it I was a little disappointed. I obviously wasn't the only one as I now have in my hand the new version, the HTCTouch Pro2. Even with its improved software and a very nicely designed tilt screen, I still needed to be convinced this was a serious alternative to competitive Smartphone's like the iPhone 3GS, Nokia N97 and the host of available BlackBerry's.
Design and Features
There is no denying that the new Pro2 is a very visually appealing handset, the 3.6 inch touchscreen allows for a 480x800 widescreen VGA resolution, using a customised version of the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 OS. Although it is very 'business' like in appearance, its metal and black ...

Advantages: large library of programs for download Disadvantages: No Wifi, Camera poor, touch screen for stylus not fingers.
The HTCTouch dual is a slick PDA/mobile phone, made of mostly a black rubbery plastic lined around the outside with a silver plastic. The case contains 3 hardware buttons, a touch pad and touch sensitive screen. The case can slide out to reveal a 16 button keypad. On the back is a 2 mega pixels camera without flash.
The HTCtouch dual runs on Windows mobile 6.0 which comes with many useful programs, such as Word mobile, Excel Mobile etc. There are also many programs that can be downloaded from the internet for free or for a small fee. However, like my experience with most Microsoft software there are times when the phone will crash or slow to a halt.
The touch screen is good and mostly responds well when using the stylus. However, when using your finger the story is a different matter. Most of the buttons on windows mobile 6.0 are too ...
