...I have this tv in black. It's sat in my room for a couple of years now. I have to say, it has given me a lot of good times, and has proven very reliable indeed! Let me tell you a little about this! ---- SPECIFICATIONS: Philips 14PT 1563B CRT - 14" TV Type - colour Dimensions (WxDxH) 39 cm x 37.4 cm x 34.6 cm Weight 9.1 kg ---- DESIGN This tv is decently designed. It has a bubble type look, very round and curvy! The tv has only four buttons on it- power and a menu accessor (3 buttons) on the front. Around the back, there is a tv aerial socket and a european connector scart socket thingy. Only one though. ---- REMOTE The remote is pretty simple, having channel, menu, tuner, volume and page up/down buttons. The great thing about this remote is -it is very sturdy! But since you don't do this regularly, it's ok. ---- SPECS Dimensions (WxDxH) 45 cm x 41 cm x 41.6 cm Diagonal Size 17" ---- FUNCTIONS The tv has the usual scart socket at the back (2!) for dvd players/x-boxes etc. There is an aerial socket as well. Otherwise the functions are pretty standard- text, picture quality (colour,brightness,contrast), on/off/av. ---- PICTURE QUALITY The picture quality is ok for the resolution and screen size. Nothing spectacular. ---- SOUND QUALITY The sound is normal and quite good, but when it is turned up high, then the sound quality drops. ---- REMOTE The remote is pretty standard. The functions include channel changing, fasttext control and av/power/volume. Not much else. ---- INSTRUCTIONS The instructions given were user-friendly.
