The 500ml tub is decorated with the Haagan Dazs logo and pictures of ice-cream. There is the nutritional information on it too.The tub has a lid which when pulled off (usually comes of quite easily) reveals a plastic cover (with the Haagan Dazs logo of course!).This must be pulled off in order to get to the ice-cream.Although it seems quite basic and easy I have often struggled with this plastic covering!Sometimes its ok but sometimes it is extremely difficult to get off!
**Taste**
The ice-cream consists of a vanilla ice-cream (the cream part) which is bombarded with pieces of what appear to be oreo cookies!The smooth vanilla taste comes through superbly.the cookies are soft and chewy and have a wonderful chocolate taste.When these too are combined the taste is magnificent!When you taste this ice-cream you are taken to a different level and other ice-creams no longer seem as good!
**Price**
A 500ml tub costs about £3.25!this is extremely expensive when compared to other ice-creams!But it isn’t just any other ice-cream is it?
**Ingredients and allergies**
for ingredients just look on the side of the tub but what I would like to say here is that they contain a LOT of calories!They are lovely though!
**Conclusion**
This ice-cream is indeed exquisite and tastes amazing.I certainly recommend you give it a try!It may be pricey (and leave a hole in your pocket!) and it may contain a lot of calories but remember:
Advantages: Tasty! Chocolatey! Disadvantages: Makes you fat if you eat too many!
Cookies and Cream... just thinking of the name makes my mouth start to water.
I'll start by explaining my title... Just about the only time I ever eat Haagen Dazs ice-cream is when I go to the cinema, hence it is my cinema treat - and the flavour I'll opt for 9 times out of 10 is Cookies and Cream.
The ice-cream is a luxury vanilla ice-cream with pieces of chocolate cookie crumbled into it. The pieces range from little crumbs to small pebble sized ... ..."Finally there’s an ice cream to satisfy the milk-and-cookies kid in all of us. Pieces of your favorite chocolate cookies are dunked into delicious, creamy vanilla ice cream. It’s like coming home again"
Cookies & Cream is available in two types of product, firstly there's the tub, and secondly the bar... the bar is definitely my favourite... I'll come on to that in a moment...

Ok, so I lied. I said I wouldn't buy another tub of this Ice Cream but I have, So shoot me. After the last Haagan Dazs experience I was strangely drawn to the freezer section of my Local Tescos, knowing it costs a fortune, knowing it's fattening, but it called to me. 'Buy me' it whispered ... So I did.
This time I have been sucked in by the Cookies and Cream variety. Same unimpressive tub, same artery clogging calorie content, same endless list ... ...tub, a revolting maroon and gold colour had a little picture of two cookies on the front (Oreo Style) and the usual Haagan Dazs slogan across the front. Try as I might I cannot find the calorie content of this ice cream, but I assume by the ingredients that it's not a low number (ie, Fresh Cream, sugar, chocolate cookie pieces). I don't know why but I was expecting a chocolate flavoured Ice Cream here, so on first opening my tub I was slightly alarmed ...

Haagen Dazs, I always thought was a German brand but after looking it up on the internet I was surprised to discover that it is in actual fact an American brand made by a family called the Hristow family from the Bronx New York. The company was established in 1961, at which time they only had three flavours, vanilla, chocolate and coffee.
Today
It is now a speciality ice cream chain ... ...States, as well as 54 other countries around the world. They produce ice cream, ice cream bars, sorbet and frozen yogurt.
The ice cream It comes in many different flavours and is referred to as a SUPER PREMIUM brand. This means that it is quite dense (little air is mixed into it when manufactured and no emulsifiers such as guar gum are used) It has a high butterfat content.

Haagen-Dazs sounds like a Swiss or German brand name to me, but after a little bit of reasearch I found out that it is actually an American company that started in New York back in the roaring 20's.The company has been sold now to the Pillsbury Company..(you know the ones who are responsible for the dough boy.)
They now have a whopping 65 varieties of ice cream ranging from Vanilla cream to speciality seasonal flavours ... ...The ice cream comes in a 500ml/415g tub, with a sturdy lid.Unlike some sub standard ice cream packaging these tubs hold their shape well, even when the ice cream inside begins to melt.The ice cream inside is covered with a celephane membrane which I always find reasuring as you can tell this way if your purchase has been tampered with.

I get into habits quite easily (meaning routines, not a nun’s getup) but can find some of them quite hard to break. One of my latest whenever I'm in the UK is that absolutely no trip to Blockbuster is complete without a tub of ice cream to bring home – I’ve been eating ice cream at cinemas for years of course, but this is something new. Despite my quite well know obsession with chocolate itself, I cannot stand ice cream that claims ... ...case of the real thing or not at all – so this limits the choice slightly. I've always been a Ben & Jerry's fan, but the absence of Cookie Dough ice cream at my local ASDA store lead me to buy a tub of my favourite flavour from it's rival - HaagenDazs.
I'll admit, I wasn't too happy with the decision, but I honestly can't be bothered to go to a different store just for a tub of ice cream.
Anyway, I turned to my freezer earlier today and took out the tub of HaagenDazs Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream and decided to have a few scoops. Which didn't really work, as I ended up eating half the tub. Infact, that's a lie. I ended up eating the entire tub. Shameful.
500ML of ice cream now resides in my stomach. But what can I say? Put aside I've gained 100g of fat and taken in 1500 calories, it tasted great.

Whilst I consider healthy eating and dieting an important part of everyday life, as I demonstrated by writing my last opinion on Ciao, there are certain things that are always going to take priority over good health and a fit body. You know a good ice cream when you taste HaagenDaz ice cream. HaagenDazs, a german ice cream comes with many flavours, such as macademia, peppermint, double chocolate but my favourite is cookies and cream.
What is so special about HaagenDazs ice cream? Well, its very creamy to say the least. Yet it wouldn't make you feel sick when you have too much. HaagenDazs ice cream isn't very sweet too.
I think the cookies in HaagenDazs is Oreo biscuits. Though the ice cream base is vanilla, the sweetness and crunchiness of the cookies blends very nicely with the vanilla flavour. The combination is simply divine.
Some part of the chocolate cookies have dissolved into the ice cream, creating a chocolatey effect within the vanilla flavour, whereas the cookies crumbs gives a different sensation to the tastebuds.
