Haagen Dazs belgiam chocolate is the best chocolate ice cream I've ever taste in my life. Why? well, maybe because of the purity of the chocolate. But that also might be a disadvantage for some one who doesn't like this kind of purity in chocolate taste. I do like it, and that's the reason why this brand is the best for me. Haagen Dazs Belgiam chocolate is an ice cream made with Belgiam chocolate, and I guess been a choclate from a place out of my own country, makes the price get higher. I don't know, but the thing is that this brand is the best, but also the most expensive here (remember, I'm talking about my country, Spain, but I've read the price of this brand is also expensive there in GB).
- PACKAGE:
The are diferent sizes, with diferents amounts of ice cream each. There are the smallers, like for ona person, with 10 ml., and the bigger,
called here the familiar, with 500 ml.(430 g.) of excelent chocolate. Between this, there's the 100 ml. package, and I'd say there's another package more, but I'm not sure the amount of ice cream on it. The package is very simple, just a bucket or tub made of a fragile material maybe for ice cream, cardboard. The thing about this is that this cardboard bucket gets too soft after a few days, specially after a bit of ice cream has run out the bucket, wetting it and making it soft. The top (or is it lid?) is a plastic one, thats better, but it's maybe too "easy opening", because its get open and closed just by pressing or pulling. I think this package is the the second disadvantage, after the price.
- PRICE:
The price of this product it depends on the size, the amount of it, because there are a few diferent sizes. The bigger, 500 ml., the one we usually buy at home, is almost 6 euros (like 4 pounds). I think this is very expensive, because you can get the same amount of ice cream for 4 or maybe 5 euros (2,60-3,20 pounds) if you look for another brand. Too much, but I'd say it's worth it... Now, important to say that the bigger amount you buy, the cheaper you get it. I mean, the 100 ml. package's got a price of 2 euros (1,30 pounds). So, if you know basic maths, 100 ml *5=500ml, but 2 euros*5=10 euros, and the price for 500 ml is 6 euros. Just maths...;)
- TASTE:
Just delicious. The best chocolate ice cream in the world. The percentage of chocolate is very high, 10%, but there are also little chocolate bits, with 13% of chocolate. All this chocolate, and all this purity, makes this product taste what it should taste, excellent chocolate (and say this because I've eaten another chocolate ice creams, from another brands, and they don't taste like this one, they don't taste like real chocolate. But this is the opinion of someone who loves chocolate, and I guess this can be a disadvantage for someone who likes chocolate, but not with this purity. That depends on you, for me, as I've said, is the best.
- INGREDIENTS:
The ingredients are a lot, I would have never realised how many ingredients are needed to make this chocolate ice cream, but here they are: Fresh cream, skimmed milk, dark Belgium chocolate (13 %)(with cocoa butter, sugar soya and vanilla), sugar, chocolate chunk with vegetable oil (10 %) (chocolate (sugar, chocolate, cocoa butter, soya , vanilla), cottonseed oil, coconut oil), egg yolk, cocoa, vanilla natural flavouring.
Interesting the percentages of chocolate. They might look like a bit too low, but they are not. That 10% and 13% are excellents percentages.

This is the nutrition facts for 100 grs. of haagen dazs belgiam chocolate:
·Energy………………… 318 kcal. ·Protein………………… 5 g. ·Cholesterol…… 85 mg. ·Fat……………………….. 20,7 g. ·Sugars........ 26 g.
Yes, I know, 318 kcal (so, if you eat the whole 500 ml. package, or 430 grs., that would mean....1367 kcal....WOW!!!!!). And yes, I know for some people it's hard to eat just a little bit and stop then eating...but hey, you don't have to eat the whole ice cream, and if you don't get used to buy it every time you get out of it, you won't get haagen's adiction...
I really recommend this producto to anyone who loves chocolate. If you just like chocolate, I'd say you'll like this one too, but you could also find this purity is a bit too high... Anyway, give it a chance, and don't say NO looking at the price of this product (the worst thing of this brand).
Finally, I'd like to say this haagen's got another diferents flavours, like Haagen Dazs Cookies and cream, Haagen Dazs Creme caramel pecan, Haagen Dazs Sorbet-chocolate, Haagen Dazs Baileys ice cream, Haagen Dazs cookie dough, Haagen Dazs vanilla caramel brownie, Haagen Dazs Vanilla ice cream, Haagen Dazs Banoffee caramel pie, Haagen Dazs Choc choc chip ice cream, Haagen Dazs ice cream dairy cookies and cream, Haagen Dazs ice cream lemon cheesecake, Haagen Dazs ice cream praline and cream and Haagen Dazs strawberry cheesecake ice cream.
