Whilst I consider healthy eating and dieting an important part of everyday life, as I demonstrated by writing my last opinion on Ciao, there are certain things that are always going to take priority over good health and a fit body. Haagen-Dazs is one of them. It may be one of the even most fattening and unhealthy products available to buy on the market, but the amount of pleasure, albeit Hedonistic, that a person can receive from even one mouthful of the stuff surpasses two whole weeks of intense dieting and restricting yourself to two or three lettuce leaves per day.
Cookies and Cream is one of the most astounding of them all. A unique blend of some of the most pure and delicious vanilla ice-cream and Oreo-style biscuits (dark and crunchy biscuits with cream inside, like Bourbon Creams, but only with a stronger taste) combine to make the flavour that the American public have loved for so many decades. The cookies come both whole and mashed up with the bulk of the ice-cream, and interjected randomly, so as to create a different sensation everytime.
But of course, you always end up eating more than you expected to, and I confess to having even eaten an entire tub in one sitting before now (I'm not proud of myself)! As a word of warning, the fat and calorie content of the milky goodness that is Cookies and Cream is off the records, so you must really watch how much you eat of it.
The ice-cream, as with all the Haagen-Dazs ice-creams, comes in both 125 ml and 500 ml tubs, and is available at the R R P of £1.25 and £3.99 respectively. The other rival to Haagen-Dazs is Ben and Jerry's, the American brand of ice cream luxury, which are becoming ever more popular universally. Although Ben and Jerry's ice-cream have a much wider range of flavours (for example, there's one with chocolate fish, marshmallow, chocolate and white chocolate chunks and toffee pieces in it, as well as the actual ice-cream!), the actual quality of the produce I find to be slightly worse. As well as this, too many flavours can hinder the actual enjoyment of the product, something that Cookies and Cream doesn't amount to.
If you've never had the full self-indulgent pleasure that comes from eating Cookies and Cream, or even a Haagen-Dazs ice-cream before, then I thoroughly recommend that you think about buying some, especially since it's Buy One get One Free in a few major supermarkets dotted around. It's best for sharing amongst a small group of family members or friends, although you might discover that it's far too tasty to share and end up offering them a last-minute alternative, such as raspberry jelly in the shape of a one-eyed hedgehog.

I am a little confused and bemused by all of the changes that have been made to ciao recentley! Heck, I go away for two days and come back to find the whole site rearranged. Imagine coming home to find burgalers in your house and that was my shock and confusion!(ok, maybe not that drastic!) However, I was pleased to see one positive outcome, somebody had the clever idea of introducing a food op section. Something that I think we should have had ages ... ...new heinz noodles!) And there is even a section devoted to my fave ice cream....the legendary Haagen Daz's so allow me to be the first person to tell you just how fab this ice cream really is.
This stuff is pure self indulgance and can be lethal to the old bum and tum but what the heck , grab a spoon and dive in and I will bet ya every penny that I have there won't be any left within an hour or so. It's one of those ice cream tubs where you start ...

Back in the day, on a Saturday afternoon my dad used to play football and so me and my brother would have our mum all to ourselves! Then in the evening my dad would be celebrating the victory -- or more often than not, cheering himself up after a thrashing -- in the pub with the footy team, while me, my mum and my little brother would snuggle up on the sofa with take-away pizza, followed by ice-cream to watch Blind Date and Casualty. Well, times ... ...has got old and injured, my mum has decided that Saturdays are for cleaning and my brother now owns a playstation. Then there's the fact that Saturday night TV is now crap and not worth watching and that I have grown to dislike take-away pizza. Oh, the sorrows! Saturday nights have gone downhill!! The ice-cream hasn't though...
I have since discovered Haagen Daaz, the genius maker of perfectly delicious and addictive ice-cream. The best flavour ...

Advantages: Sex in a Tub!!!!! Disadvantages: When it's finished you just want more!!!!!!
...itself is a gold with Haagen-Dazs written in black with the goldie lace effecton half and a plain purple red on the other half. The same idea for the tub itself.
We sat together with the film on. We placed the unopened tub of Haagen-Daz onto the coffee table, with our two spoons. We thought that it would be kind of romantic sharing a tub. We had left it for about five minutes and I couldn't wait no more I picked up the cold tub in my left hand and ... ...a way that it can be placed back onto the top after the seal had been broken. So you could put the uneaten portion back into the freezer.(no need for this, put lid straight into bin.) Then I slowly peeled back the thin plastic seal that had Haagen-Daz written all over it. I could see in the corner of my eye he had picked his spoon ready to pounch.
I was polite at this time I handed him the tub, he smiled back at me and pushed his spoon deep into ...

Ok, so here I am again writing about food. If you’ve read any of my other opinions you would be forgiven for asking yourself whether I do anything except eat! This however is an exception and I can’t believe that it’s taken me sooo long to share this indulgent experience with my Ciao buddies- for this I can only apologize! (But I wont waste time doing that!
Let me begin by warning you of the fat content- it’s wayyy wayyyy wayyyyy tooo high to even ... ...it on the tub. I’ve just checked as I have a tub beside me. I’ve only had 3 spoonfuls so far- so all is well in the world. It’s £3.99 for a 500ml tub and £1.25 for the smaller (I say tooo small) 125ml tub. It’s full of cookie goodness (hence the name) but it’s not just the Maryland cookies style cookie is pure oreo goodness. Rich chocolate, very brown and super chocolately. To add to the taste sensation the tub includes a selection of whole and mushed ...

This started as a favourite ice cream review, but it's not. The best ice cream I know of is made by Bonds of Elswick in a hut in the Fylde situated between Preston and Blackpool, and is available throughout that area. It's definitely the best tasting plain ice cream that money can buy, but this isn't about Bonds, its about this Haagen Daaz stuff which is full ogf bits and stuff.
I don't eat this very often as I'm diabetic, but given that it's one ... ...a definite treat for the taste buds. The ice cream is creamier than a creamy thing and the cookies give it an extremely interesting texture, very tasty.
If you buy it I suggest the following strategy. If you like ice cream, but shouldn't really it it because you're a fat b*****d (like me) or diabetic (like me), then just get a small tub, because it's so addictive that if you get a large tub you'll just keep going back for another taste.

I really recommend this producto to anyone who loves chocolate. If you just like chocolate, I'd say you'll like this one too, but you could also find this purity is a bit too high... Anyway, give it a chance, and don't say NO looking at the price of this product (the worst thing of this brand).
