Hagen Sunshine Small Pet Stone

...is what I wish I could tell my Syrian hamster, Jinny, who received one of these for Christmas. Jinny is not usually overly eager to eat mineral blocks, but this one would be gone in a few hours if I left her to it.

**What are they?**
As the name suggests, a mineral block is a block containing many of the essential minerals hamsters need to stay healthy. These are usually placed in the cage and left until completely devoured.

**Appearance**
Weighing 200g, the Sunshine block is a rectangle-shaped, white block with rounded corners. it has two small fasteners in the back to attach it to wire, but these are easily cut off if you want to put it on the floor of your pet's cage. the top has a bumpy pattern, and the sides look similar to a cupcake case. The bottom is completely smooth.

**My hamster's Verdict**
All three of my Syrians absolutely adored the Sunshine blocks! Jin (3 month old Syrian) demolished hers in a week, Smudge (7 month old Syrian) is still going at hers and Daisy (7 month old Syrian) finished hers in about 2 weeks. They look lovely in the cage, too!

These stones don't last long with destructive hammies, but are a brilliant, cheap treat and thoroughly enjoyed by my little ones! They keep their teeth trimmed down too, which is a bonus.
