Advantages: Divx HD and MKV playback, Youtube, Cheap Disadvantages: Remote control a bit cheap
After searching and reviewing just about all available sub £300 blu ray players, I stumbled upon this little gem from LG. The LG BD370 is priced at the entry level market, however its features go far beyond entry level. For starters it's profile 2.0 BD Live ready, (just plug in a USB stick at least 1gb for it to work), It looks gorgeous, its very fast loading, with a number of user selectable skins.
Another good feature is the inclusion of Youtube, so you can browse and watch Youtube videos on your HD TV. (I had a few problems getting it to work with my router but it is easily solved by forwarding ports 32768 to the blu ray player)
The creme de la creme of this player is that it will also play Divx HD and Xvid HD, or .MKV files along with normal divx files.
Simply burn the .MKV onto a DVD or DVD DL and watch Divx in full HD ...

Advantages: does a quick wash in less that half an hour Disadvantages: won't spin properly unless full load
I bought my machine of a auction site. I had never actually heard of Haier washing machines before, but had a lot of fun bidding for it. I had already been told that appliances bought of an auction site, would probably have a bit of damage to them. When the machine arrived I found one small dint in the side, which when it was in situ couldn't be seen, so I was happy with it.
The appearance of the machine is good, it is silver and fits in with any decor. There is quite a large range of wash cycles including quick wash. There are variable spinning speeds, the top one being 1400.
The first wash I did I was extremely pleased with. I just used quick wash and the clothes came out clean and well spun. The next was I did was not a full load and when i got the clothes out they were absolutely dripping wet. I tried to spin them again ...
Advantages: Has a great fan assisted oven (no more Aunt Bessies!!) Disadvantages: May take a little timegetting used to the controls.
The sales assistant wasn't really impressed that we didn't take out and extended warranty. But as it comes with a free 5 year warranty, I thought that I would wait until nearer the time. In order to have the free 5 year warranty you have to fill in the paperwork and send back to Hotpoint. It as always a good idea to keep your receipt and a photocopy of any details sent. I chose the black model which cleans up really well. The main oven cooks almost evenly, as I have already put this to the pizza test. I have not experienced any odours from the oven, which you usually get upon the first few times that you use a new oven. The BD32 has an AA energy rating and a programmable timer. It may take a little time to get used to the controls. ...
