Tangle Teezer makes brushing easier. Advantages: It's affective, easy and comfortable to grip Disadvantages: It's not made with left handed comfort in mind, its not cheap. I was advised to purchase this after a visit to our local children's hairdressers. They use these there and they totally recommend them and it appeared to work well on my daughters hair when she was in the salon. They hadn't anymore in stock but i was advised that I could get one in Boot's the Chemist. My daughter was quite taken with this brush and she wanted me to go and instantly buy one (which was a promising result :-)). I was able to pick one ... ...do come in various colours and my daughter would have preferred a pink one (naturally) however they only had black in stock when I purchased mine. I would say it resembles a horse brush. Though a lot of thought has definitely been put into the design of this brush, I would say it was manufactured with right handed people in my mind as it seems more ideally shaped for being held in the right hand. " No more burns on my furniture!" Advantages: Can be used anywhere and can also transport your straighteners in a light and convenient way. Disadvantages: Rather pricey at £15.99 ...was recommended to buy a Kodo Heatproof mat which can be used in conjunction with any straighteners or heated styling tool. The mat needs no preparations in order to use it you just lay it where ever you are doing your hair and make sure you put the straighteners on top of it, not beside it (oops!). The mat can be layed upon any surface whether it be material, such as a bed cover or a hard surface, such as a kitchen unit. This is great for me as ... ...I have had my Kodo mat for three years now and it is still in great condition. My only complaint is that because I keep it rolled up with my straighteners, when you first lye it flat the edges of the mat tend to curl upwards. I find however after our straighteners get hot and you start using the mat, it usually uncurls on it's own.
