Like all salons, hair stylist have the alterior motive of selling you their products. In Aveda, they didn't need to push for the hard sell, those who could afford the hair cut would ask for the products without checking the price tag. As the stylist was finishing my hair, he introduced me to 'Be Curly' one of the Instyle Best Beauty ...
...I am not a big Aveda fan. Their products always strike me as too expensive and not that nicely packaged. Despite this tube of beige sitting in my bathroom looking distinctly out of place with the sleek lines and cool packaging of the other stuff I've been conned into buying, I think this is a GREAT BUY, especially for the summer where the natural wave is back. Disadvantages: use more than a pea size portion hair becomes stiff and fluffy

My first attempt in using hang straight left my hair feeling sticky,stiff and fluffy. The next day a sprayed brilliant damage control sparingly all over my hair, then I used my straighteners resulting in better hair but not good enough. My second attempt was much better. ...Aveda's volumising tonic I knew Aveda is a quality company. I used it on dry straight hair after my hair went flat after a long a day (its small enough to fit inside a handbag), I just rubbed some in my palm and massaged it into my roots. I have found it works better when your head is tilted down and then flick it up again (like them hair shampoo adverts lol). I have heard and read mixed reviews about this product, so i was unsure about whether to bother buying it. I figured the best thing to do would be to ask my stylist about what people had said. She stold me that the shine spray didn't suit everyones hair, but recommended to me for my hair type, i have dark long hair, which is fine, but a lttle dry, So i bought a can and took it home, and now i absolutely LOVE IT!!!!! For starters the can is bright ...
...spray also smells divine!!! The scent is tropical fruits, but its a light smell, so it doesn't choke you everytime you spray it. The spray is supposed to make you hair soft and shiny, and for me it works. I hold the can around 10 inches from my hair and spray, but just a little, not a lot.
