Philips QC5170 - The Good & The Bad
Advantages: 60 Minute Cordless Charge, Rotating Head For Self Cut, Quick Size Settings Disadvantages: Only Cuts Hair Short, No Case or Box, Can be overcharged
Great product, BUT read the whole review before buying!!!
I have been cutting my own hair for several years now and have always used corded heavy standard clippers. but then thought i would try these
Design - These are fantastically designed clippers, they are light, they look great, and they feel awesome in your hands. They have a perfect curve and grip on them so at whatever angle you are holding them you sure not to drop them. Some people who ... ...threw them across the floor they will break!! They are light but they are not designed to be indestructible, they are light enough to be manageable but heavy enough to know they are their.
Function - These clippers also have great funtionality on them, one charge will give these things a full 60 minute charge, and they do not lose power as the charge goes down they stay good for the full 60 minutes. The pivoting head is also not just a gimmick, ...

Remington HC365
Advantages: Rechargeable, ease of use, no need of oil for blades Disadvantages: inability of main clipper to trim, trimmer doesn't do good at trimming
Since I got this clipper i haven't had cause to go for repair. So for one,
its durable but depending on how careful you are though.
The best attribute would be that I won't need to draw Voltage from my kitchen to my bathroom just to shave-its rechargeble! I am still trying to figure out how many hours it can go before going off. Its con would be the fact that the trimmer included isn't rechargeable as the main clipper. Hence, trimming is less smooth ...

I'm bald (again) thank God
Advantages: Quick, easy to clean Disadvantages: none apparent
I have just purchased these hair clippers from Argos at what I thought was a very reasonable £34:99.
I bought them to replace my old Visiq clippers and the difference is amazing. With the Visiq I had to go over and over my head, but with these Philishave Super Easy Hair Clippers QC5070 it was a case of just going over my scalp the once and the hair was gone.
Below is a list of the specs the clippers: -
Philishave Super Easy Hair Clippers QC5070

On your head be it. (Hair).
Advantages: The wonder of the Flexicomb Disadvantages: Not cordless
...head, then please buy a PHILIPS QC 5010 and let me know how it works. But don't come anywhere near me. HOW DO YOU CHANGE THE LENGTH ONCE THE FLEXICOMB IS LOCKED IN PLACE, EH?
You twist the base of the razor till it increases/decreases the distance between the flexicomb and the blades. There's a little window at the bottom with a number indicating what length in millimetres it will cut your hair. It goes from 3 mm to 21 mm, at 3mm intervals. This ... ...is super easy. Using the Philips QC 5010 is just easy.
YEAH, WHAT ELSE?
Er, it's pretty light. The boxed weight is only 1kg, so unboxed it's, well, a bit less than 1kg. This may be a good thing if you are a weakling, or a bad thing if you ever drop it and it breaks. I am unwilling to drop it on purpose to see if it smashes; I would do anything for love (of Ciao) but I won't do that.
It's not cordless, but frankly, I don't care about that. Imagine ...

DIY Haircut: Saving a Few Bob
Advantages: Can't make mistakes if you follow instructions. Saves money, good build quality Disadvantages: None that I have found
...but a penny for the Remington HC710, I worked out that I would get my money back after about 7 or 8 uses. There were other models, but the Remington looked the best quality on examination, and after all, Remington did seem to have a long history of manufacturing in shaving and hair care products. She opened one of the boxes and showed me that there were 8 guiding combs that I could attach. There were two slanting combs, one slanting right and one ... ...series of straight combs marked, 3mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm 15mm, 18mm. These guide combs fitted over the cutting blade, and would cut your hair to that length as you ran the clippers through the hair. She told me that if I run the machine through my hair slowly with the longest (18mm) comb attached first against the growth direction, I would see that it would cut it perfectly. Because of the comb attached, I would not be able to cut too much off, something ...
