Wahl Super Taper Clippers
Advantages: Powerful, Sturdy Clippers at a Good Price Disadvantages: Quite Heavy but not too bad.
I recently bought the Wahl Super Taper hair clipper from Saloneasy.com for £33.99 (the cheapest I could find)and was extremely impressed with the power of the cut. I usually buy retail clippers from argos, but these professional clippers are far superior, and are only slightly more expensive!
According to the box, they have a powerful V5000 professional motor (im not quite sure what that means!), which is more than suitable for home cutting. It ... ...long cable which is perfect for me as I do like to shave my own head into the kitchen sink.
I would highly recommend these clippers to anyone wanting a pair for home use, as they are designed for professional barbers so you know you are getting a high quality product at little extra expense! ...

... ...repaid me several times over. It's so good I might set up as a home hairdresser, or maybe not. When you look at the prices barbers and hairdresser charge these days then this is a really good buy.
Thanks for taking the time to read this review. All comments welcome ...

DIY Haircut: Saving a Few Bob
Advantages: Can't make mistakes if you follow instructions. Saves money, good build quality Disadvantages: None that I have found
...but a penny for the Remington HC710, I worked out that I would get my money back after about 7 or 8 uses. There were other models, but the Remington looked the best quality on examination, and after all, Remington did seem to have a long history of manufacturing in shaving and hair care products. She opened one of the boxes and showed me that there were 8 guiding combs that I could attach. There were two slanting combs, one slanting right and one ... ...series of straight combs marked, 3mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm 15mm, 18mm. These guide combs fitted over the cutting blade, and would cut your hair to that length as you ran the clippers through the hair. She told me that if I run the machine through my hair slowly with the longest (18mm) comb attached first against the growth direction, I would see that it would cut it perfectly. Because of the comb attached, I would not be able to cut too much off, something ...

Hundreds of haircuts for the price of one!
Advantages: High quality cutting blades, very durable, consistent cutting power, low price. Disadvantages: None.
...still currently use is the Wahl HomePro 100. It can be bought for less than £10 at the moment. The Brand Wahl is a well established brand and the company produces a wide range of professional and home grooming products. It claims to have invented the first practical electric hair clipper in 1919 and has continued to specialise in grooming products ever since then. This means that it is well known for producing high quality, innovative products. ... ...These clippers need to be plugged in to be used and the cord is long enough to allow lots of free movement. I have used clippers with rechargeable batteries in the past that do not have to be plugged in when used and this always resulted in inadequate power. I therefore prefer having a mains operated set of clippers that perform consistently rather than the benefit of not having to worry about a cord. 4 Attachment Combs It is possible to cut ...

Cut your spending on haircuts
Advantages: Well priced, easy to use and clean Disadvantages: Forgetting to wear something to catch the cut hair.
...When I bought my Scherna set (from Argos for £25) back in 2005 haircuts were around £9 (for a numbered graded cut) so I figured I could cut my own hair and save myself both time and money by eliminating the middle man. So who are Scherna? According to the rather helpful label on the back of the box they are owned by BaByliss who are a fairly well known name as far as the world of hairdressing equipment goes. So what am I getting for my money? The ... ...metallic silver plate with the Scherna brand name on has no actual specific function but the body of the shaver has a red led which lights to indicate the unit is receiving power. On one side of the shaver is the power switch & an adjustable bar which allows you to alter the position of the blade to shave closer or further away as you wish, the blue button on the opposite side delivers a short burst of power to the trimmer blades which allows you ...
