Advantages: great range of colours, easy to apply
Disadvantages: ammonia can be quite strong

I think this is one of the best home hair colouring kits around.....it does exactly what it says on the box too !! Its easy to apply,( though i tend to empty product into a mixing bowl and apply with a tint brush, just to ensure complete coverage)...the smell is not too bad either, though the lighter colour you use, the more the ammonia seems to smell..and eyes can water. I have never had a problem with uneven coverage with this product either, ...

Ok firstly I have to say that I am in my late 30's and I started using JFM about a 18 months ago when my grey hairs started to become that little bit too 'obvious'. Hope they might help you too! 1) Before applying JFM use some vaseline (petroleum jelly) around your hair-line and your ears. The instructions recommend that you use gloves but I have found that it it actually fairly easy to remove from the skin if you have no gloves. Well it seems from the other reviews, that people aren't really aware of what this product is supposed to do. If you go from dark to light, there is going to be a mid-way colour which this hairdye can bring out. But the purpose of this product is to remove alot of your old (darker) colour.
