Nits Not Nice
Review of Escenti Tea Tree Childrens Head Lice Repellent by
Thehonesttruth
Advantages: Low priced, reliable, lasts
Disadvantages: hard to find
...nits themselves, and she mentioned Escenti Tea Tree Kids head lice repellant, which she used morning and night while brushing her daughters' hair.
It took a little hunting around, but eventually I found the products online - there are three products, a shampoo, conditioner, and a spray, all at £1.99. All three products are intended for maintaining lice-free hair - so a treatment with an ordinary nit shampoo and a wet combing session is recommended ... ...Having used all three Escenti Head Lice Repellants in conjunction with each other, my daughter has remained lice free for six weeks now, which is great. She's happier because I'm not attacking her with a scratchy nit comb, or making her sleep with stinky shampoo on her head overnight, so she can relax and enjoy her bath time.
The one downside to this product is the smell - while I like it , some people dislike it and describe it as a bit musty - ...

Finally, something that actually works
Review of De Valle Head Lice Repellent by
jemima.peter
Advantages: Effective at keeping lice at bay
Disadvantages: Small bottle - would like to see it at least twice the size!
...Then we came across De Valle Head Lice Repellent when shopping at the supermarket. Not expecting it to work but desperate enough to try anything, we bought a bottle and have never looked back since.
We began using it in November, after making sure my daughter was clear once again before we started. The problem seemed to stop at once - between then and the Christmas holidays we didn't have one single louse. By Christmas we'd run out, and thinking ... ...spent de-lousing, I bought more De Valley spray, began using it every day again, and again, haven't had a single problem since.
The spray itself is clear and comes in a 75ml bottle (personally I think a big industrial-sized bottle wouldn't go wrong!), and I usually pay around £3.49. It's available at Tesco Pharmacy and several online retailers amongst others, it's fairly easy to get hold of, and with daily use one bottle will probably last you around ...

Lyclear Sprayaway ASTHMA SUFFERERS BEWARE!
Review of Lyclear Spray Away by
Littlemee
Advantages: Great for quick & easy way to treat head lice
Disadvantages: Not for use with people with Asthma PLEASE READ REVIEW!
Lyclear Sprayaway, ASTHMA SUFFERERS Upon using this product on my 6 year old son we followed the instructions provided & it was as simple as that. Other than the aniseed smell which does tend to linger.
Due to me having head contact with my son i thought it would be advisable to treat me at the same time as i had been quite itchy ( not sure if that was just the thought of them or was really head lice)
but treated me all the same.
I didn't think ... ...the chemist told me that Lyclear Sprayaway is not to be used if you are Asthmatic and not even recomended to apply it either.
I find this totally unexcptable for there not to be even one warning on the box or on the instructions as this clearly is not a safe product for people with Ashma ...
