Veet hair removal cream - very quick regrowth :(
Review of Veet In-shower Hair Removal Cream by
Allypag
Advantages: Won't cut legs
Disadvantages: Doesn't work
Having tried hair removal creams in the past and always gone back to the razor I thought I'd see if they'd improved at all and this one promised to work wonders. Sadly it didn't.
The rate at which hair grows back after shaving has always been an irritation so I wanted to try something with longer lasting effects but I found that after using this in the morning the hair had reappeared by the end of the day! Something I have never found with shaving.
... ...start of the shower and by the end it will have done its stuff and you remove it with the sponge provided. I found that a lot of the cream had already gone by the time I came to remove it and the rest I tried to scrub off with the little sponge. After some rather painful scrubbing with the abrasive side of the sponge I was left with legs that were silky smooth in places but with no difference in other places - even those that still had the cream ...

Review of Boots Sensitive Hair Removing Cream by
danniell
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: didnt work
Boots hair removing cream is packaged in a cardboard box which has full instructions on it and inside you have a tube containing the cream, It cost me about £2 and as i have used a lot of creams in the past i thought why not.
You are supposed to spread the cream over the area you want the hair removing from in a even layer, not too thick but not too thin, about 1.5 cm thick will do nicely, i didnt try too hard to get the cream even and smooth as ... ...a good coverage of it all over my legs.
You have to leave it on for 5 minutes according to the box, i used the sensative cream as my skin is very sensative, a bit like me.
After 5 minutes i removed a small area of the cream to make certain that it had worked, no it hadnt, my hairs were still there.
This is the problem i have you see, my hair is quite thick and corce so is stubborn to remove but i have to be careful what i do as my skin is sensative ...

Could remove more than just unwanted hair...
Review of Veet In-shower Hair Removal Cream by
Rhubarb1234
Advantages: Removes hair, doesn't smell as bad as some hair removal creams
Disadvantages: Rashes, soreness
...legs but when i saw Veet In-Shower hair removal cream, i was drawn to the product as the fact that the product worked while you were showering appealed to me, it seemed like it would save time, so i bought it. I got home tried this product out the next day whilst shower and was impressed that it stayed on, even with the water running on it - amazing i thought, but then when it came to washing the cream off, i found that not only did it remove the ... ...skin. Around 1 hour after washing the cream off, my legs came out in very sore red rashes and then turned into scabs. I'm not sure if this was just an allergic reaction - even though the product claimed it was sensitve. I think in the future ill stick to shaving. ...

Review of SilkyMit Facial Hair Remover by
werebear
Advantages: no more moustache!
Disadvantages: stupid holder , too harsh when new.
After reading the previous 2 review , i have to comment - as this product is fantastc -only If you get the hang of how to use it. So heres my tips
Firstly - dont bother with the 'holder ', as it makes it tricky to angle and by peeling the backing off the glue can get on your face , and this can cause irritation .
FOLD the strip in half to get a more accurate shape and angle to do the upper lip area. -- this also enables you to hold the strip and ... ...if you are pressing too hard .
If using it the first time on long hair , trim hair first , then skin will take less friction.
Irritation is less if you use a 'worn in' strip - eg - do your knees with it first! It is great for this area and causes less irritation than the body mitt for legs made by the same company.
Put cold water on skin first , and pat skin dry before using the silkymitt. Never use after a hot bath, and DONT RUB TOO HARD, be ...
