Review of Veet Ready To Use Wax Strips by
Haute_Couture
Advantages: It effectively removes hair, can cut strips to different sizes, cheap
Disadvantages: Leaves goo behind sometimes
...shave, I decided to give Veet a try. I was a complete wax virgin, and after reading the simple instructions, i began to apply my first section. All you have to do is warm the strip between your palms, split it so you have 2 strips and apply to the area. Just warm it up on your leg again and pull! It's really simple and the people who have goo left on their legs...sorry but your not following instructions! This happens if you rub the strip on your ... ...not i have a high pain threshgold or not, but I only felt a slight nip and most of the hair was gone, only a few strays left!!
The strips are great as you can cut them to size for your underarms and binkini area (also not too sore)
However there may be some hair that didnt get removed, for these just cut a small strip and get rid of them! Easy.
My only negative view on these strips is that i dont know if the wipe that is given works or not. I ...

Skin removal not hair
Review of Louis Marcel Crystal Gel Strip Wax by
lozloz
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: Painful and don't work
I found Louis Marcel crystal gel wax so awful I felt I should warm others to stay away.
Below you will find what this product claims it can do.
Salon smoothness without the appointment. Louis Marcel 'Crystal Gel' Strip Wax with the addition of natural avocado oil and vitamin E is a salon style cold wax-like treatment for use at home, in safe, easy and ready to use pre-coated strips. Unwanted hair is removed down to and including roots, so regrowth ... ...the treated area gently with Louis Marcel Aftercare Balm Oil Tissues to remove excess residue and moisturise the skin. Reality
***********
These waxing atrips are useless. The honey fragrance is more of a chemical fragrance and they don’t work.
I followed the above directions carefully and they removed less than half of the hairs on my legs and quite a bit of skin. And when it comes to removing any residual wax you need a scrubbing brush not aftercare ...

Review of Nad's No Heat Hair Remover Wax by
Tried_and_Tested
Advantages: Easy, nearly pain-free, good value for money
Disadvantages: Sticky (but it washes off VERY easily with water)
I have shaved all my life & decided I wanted to start waxing. After trying a couple of products, I was starting to give up hope on ever finding a wax which was effective. (FYI Veet sucks!!)
I remembered once stumbling across a shopping channel & seeing them going on endlessly about this amazing starter kit which promised all the usual results. I thought they were over-selling it & forgot about it.
I was out shopping looking for something new to ... ...& am I glad I did!! It is wonderful!
I have only ever waxed my bikini line (although I know you're supposed to do your legs to begin with!) & was expecting it to be fairly painful like the rest, but when I braced myself for the nasty sensation that you were ripping your skin off at the same time as your hair, I pulled the strip off in one swift movement, & felt a slight stinging & it was over & done with!
I recommend this for anyone, but especially ...

Some strange form of torture...?
Review of Smooth Appeal Wax Easy by
ivytoad
Advantages: Really works, you'll be hair free for weeks! Cheap
Disadvantages: It hurts!!
The first time I was introduced to this 'Smooth Appeal' facial hair remover wax was about 7 years ago when my Mum used it and I used to sneak it from her bedroom while she was out and use it too (I know, what a naughty teenager!) This is the only wax I use now for my face. I have never looked back!
I buy my 'Smooth Appeal' from Boots and it costs a bargain £3.49 (a lot cheaper than getting it done professionally)
The wax now comes with tea tree ... ...soothe your skin so its less painful, but I am not sure if this is the case!
The packaging is very orange! The product comes in an orange cardboard sleeve with a woman holding her face in the background and then 'Smooth Appeal' written across the front in large blue letters. The cardboard sleeve encases a plastic box which opens to reveal the container, instructions and your wooden spatula. All you need for your wonderful waxing experience!
The ...

I'm hooked!
Review of Nair Peel Off Wax Hair Remover by
jana89
Advantages: Smooth, long lasting results
Disadvantages: Can be messy!
I absolutely love this wax and have been using it for years now. I have tried so many products but this really is the best.....
It is normally sold for £7.99 in most stores, although I find it for £3.99 in Savers, and it is often on special offer in Superdrug. It comes in a white and purple box and contains the following:
400g pot of wax
Instruction leaflet
1 applicator - much like a large lollipop stick
1 temperature indicator stick
2 Smooth ... ...the lower legs, bikini and underarms, but I find it lasts a lot longer. The wax used to be an awful purple colour, but thankfully this has changed and it is now a translucent yellowy colour… The smell however, is not that great.
The wax is very easy to use. As you can guess, all you need to do is heat it in the microwave until it is runny - like the consistency of honey. You then need to be very careful and ensure that it is not too hot or you will ...
