Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Painful, does not remove all the hair
I brought some of these on thursday for £1.99 from my local shop well i went home to try them out well in the box it had 3 strips already cut i must of used 2 of the strips because they would not work at all i even let them on for 5 minutes and still wouldnt come off properly it didnt take them out of the roots it left me with little black hairs and it was red all day which was embrassing.
i just have got my eyebrows sorted out today by getting ... ...*REMOVING THE HAIRS
Have to do it a couple of times on the same spot which does get painful after a while because u are ripping bits of skin aswel off. Also it leave bits of hair where you have waxed it does not remove the hair you can't get with your tweezers it just stays there.
*SHAPING
Since this was my first time using them it did not give me a very good shape i had to get them properly done today and now they look alot better then before ...
Advantages: cheap Disadvantages: does not remove many hairs in one go and have to re-use the strips several times
...it meant I got 30 wax strips for £2.89 instead of the usual 20. At the time I thought they were a bargain and would be great for a bikini wax - painful, I know! :)
When I opened the box I was disappointed to find that the wax strips were tiny - the strips themselves were acceptable but the wax in the middle was about 1cm wide and 5cm long and there were no wipes included to use to clean off the wax afterwards. Before pulling the wax strips apart ... ...these strips quickly lost the wax after about 5 or 6 attempts and even then I had to use another strip as the wax didn't appear to be very good at attaching itself to hair or removing hair. These weren't particularly effective for a bikini wax as I found myself having to use these every week to remove the hairs which it didn't remove the previous week. On the plus side though it did remove very short hairs - about 2mm but even then I was struggling ...
Advantages: Cheap and easy to use Disadvantages: Very painfull and not effective at hair removal
...few months ago using Veet wax strips, although I found them very effective and easy to use I found them quite expensive, so I decided to try Wax Away Bodyworks Wax Strips because they were on sale in savers for only 1.59 for a pack of 8 strips. Each strip comes stuck to another one so once they are pulled apart they create two waxing strips. Each strip is white with a stripe of blue wax down the middle.
How to use
*********
Simply remove from ... ...for a few seconds and pull apart creating two waxing strips. Place on the area you want to wax, smooth down and pull back in the opposite direction of hair growth. Strips can then be re-used a couple of times.
Effectiveness
***********
Although this product is as easy to use as any ready to use waxing strips they are not as effective. They did remove 90% of hairs but they also removed some skin as well, leaving my poor legs sore and blotchy for ...
Advantages: No need to heat beforehand Disadvantages: Strips aren't reusable
...She hadn’t heated the wax long enough and when she applied it to my skin it became thick and sticky and when she pulled off the strip it bruised my skin badly. It put me for life so I decided to stick with my trusty disposable razors, until a few months ago that is.
While on holiday late last year I became annoyed about having to shave almost every day as I was wearing shorts and didn’t want to have stubbly legs on show. As I have quite sensitive ... ...why I chose this particular wax was that it required no heating so it was ready for use straight away. This appeals to me as I often find myself with little time for such tasks and not having to heat the wax beforehand means that the job can be done quicker. Plus it also means that you can take it on holiday with you and if you find yourself without such luxuries as a microwave to heat it, no problem. It’s ready to use in an instant.
As I mentioned ...
Advantages: excellent hair removal - almost pain free! Disadvantages: quite messy and diffilut to take small bits of wax off
...not ideal! i tried paper wax strips that are ready to use - what a waste of money! you can only use them once and the hair doesnt even come off. then i tried cold wax strips of the same brand. also very useless. they are just like sticky tape they dont remove a single hair! especialyl as hairs on the face are quite short and often ingrown
then i decided to try this. i have never used wax anywhere before as iv always been worried bout the pain but ... ...a few goes. however the wax does stick to your skin espeacilly the small bits wihch are hard to take off. so i suggest putting a thick layer rather than thin. or you can moisten your face with water and rub a flannel to remove small bits. the box says use each tablet of wax once - dont!! i have re used and re heated one tablet 7 times! its just as good. you get two tablets in the box. as theres not many hairs on faces, it works fine to use over and ...
