Advantages: Good looking product, Great straight hair which lasts! Disadvantages: Less sturdy feel, the writing on them came off, Handle gets quite warm
I bought these straighteners on deal in Tesco for about £40 a few months ago before my GHDs broke (Embarassing - I trod on them and they fell to pieces, but I couldn't claim on insurance or send them off for a new one as it was obvious it wasn't normal wear and tear) They got put in the cupboard as some 'just in case' straighteners or for travelling, as the three women in the house shared one pair of GHDs The straighteners themselves: Admittedly, ... ...price I wasn't really complaining. They come in a lovely heatproof pouch which is very useful! The handle gets quite warm if you leave them plugged in the socket (but switched off on the handle) There are good quality plates and the cable is definitely long enough!! Straightening my hair: My hair is naturally very wavy and messy - these straighteners are great at sorting it out! I use protection spray on my hair every time with them on the hottest ...
Advantages: Straight hair , gives glossy and shiny hair Disadvantages: it can be heavt to handle , container has to be filled with water for steam function to work
This product is great , it gives salon straightness right in the comfort of your home. I used this straightener and I am really impressed by the results and also the unique features on the straightener. It has an ionic system that helps to reduce breakage and straighten the hair effectively . It also has the steam feature where the steam is used in conjunction with the hot plates to ensure glossy results . When I used the the steam feature , I found ... ...and really glossy as well, even my work colleagues noticed . The only issue with this straightener is that it is a bit heavy to handle and it can be a pain if you use the steam feature as you have to keep refilling the water container inorder to utilise the steam . However judging form the reukts I have got , I think it is very well worth it . ...
Advantages: Temperature adjustment and easy to handle. Disadvantages: None as of yet.
...hair- and I went to Babyliss as they have never failled me when I used their other products. The Babyliss 2085U work beautifully on your hair, they have a range of temp settings on a dial are dead simple to use and will leave even the wildest hair tamed! I would really recommend these to anyone searching for new straightners- they are just as good as the others that are always advertised and I feel that they may even be better! (anything that can ... ...must be good) Other straightners can be too hot and therefore ruin your hair but these are really not going to do that. You can get them in most stores- mine were off the highstreet! I have had mine for a year now and they still work the same as the day I bought them- trust me these are an investment- not a whim buy. They will last and will leave your hair straight and yet still full of life. ...
Advantages: Heat quickly, good performance, nice budget pair Disadvantages: Results not as good as expensive ones
...until I came across the Babyliss 2025HU professional slim ceramic straightening iron on Amazon. With an RRP of £19.99 I only actually paid a partial £12.99 for these and as they were quite cheap they seemed to fit the bill in case I was to lose them on holiday. Of course they do not give me the same performance as my Remington straighteners but as they cost a whole £50 less I never expected them to.
One of the problems I’ve had in the past is the ... ...anything to my hair. My hair can be quick think and curls quite a bit if it dries when it is wet. So I was quite surprised that these reached a temperature that not only got to grips with the thickness of my hair but also got hot enough to give me a finished result I was very happy with.
It normally takes me about 15 minutes for these to really do the job on my hair. At times I wish I hate my friend Lindsey’s hair as hers is always done so much ...
Advantages: cordless, inexpensive Disadvantages: not hot enough, catches hair
Babyliss Portability
I have probably mentioned before that I couldn't live without my GHDs,- best straighteners I've ever tried but they are too expensive to throw in your bag or leave in work. I was also wary about taking them on holiday in case they blew upburnt out with the voltage change (I really love my GHDs and this did happen to my friends dryer in the Canaries)
Last summer in Boots sale I found a cordless version of the Babyliss straighteners ... ...gas like in the old braun curling tongs) and thought they'd be ideal for holidays or leaving in my drawer at work the rest of the year in case I got caught in the rain. The silver, black and white packaging looked quite upmarket and the front proclaimed High temperature Ceramic coated plates for an ultra smooth finish and the reduced price of £9.99 swung it for me as I could pay that for lunch somedays.
Another important note on the box was "Approved ...
