Good budget Straighteners

Advantages: Heat quickly, good performance, nice budget pair
Disadvantages: Results not as good as expensive ones

Truly amazing

Advantages: Time to heat up, Cordless, Smoothness of plates
Disadvantages: Can be too hot when its near 230°

...are very smooth and as Babyliss describe it - they are DEFINATLY salon performance. They are also quite wide which allows more hair to be striaghtened at any time. The timing for the plates to heat up is VERY QUICK, about 20 seconds or so to heat up. LET ME TELL IT STRAIGHT!

Advantages: Price, Heat, Worldwide use
Disadvantages: Can't think of one

I chose the Babyliss Pro Straight 220 ceramic with worldwide use for 3 reasons a) they were a fraction of the cost of the GHD's b) they were ceramic plates and c) because they can be used worldwide unlike my previous GHD's which to my distress did not work in the US. Its Portable but is it practical

Advantages: cordless, inexpensive
Disadvantages: not hot enough, catches hair

Babyliss Portability I have probably mentioned before that I couldn't live without my GHDs,- best straighteners I've ever tried but they are too expensive to throw in your bag or leave in work.
