Advantages: Heat up very quickly, nice accessories. Disadvantages: Heavy, noisy, expensive.
...* A set of BaByliss Pro 230 Radiance (red) straighteners. * A heatproof mat. * Protective carry-case. * Four plastic hair clips. * Instructions. MY FIRST IMPRESSIONS - - - - - I quite excited (yes I know its sad) to get these out of the box and start using them, after all, I'd heard such great things... I was impressed with the design of the carry pouch and the heatproof mat. They are both a metallic red; not as bright a red as I was expecting, but ... ...the bells & whistles that BaByliss have added, although I wouldn't consider the extras to weigh that much! It may not be the end of the world, but for me personally I think they are a bit chunky & clunky, and that combined with their weight means that they can be a bit awkward sometimes. The issue of noise has to be mentioned too. I have never owned such a noisy pair of straighteners! The first time I turned these on, I thought they were faulty as ...
Advantages: Tames my hair. Disadvantages: Turning them off is too easy.
...My previous straighteners had been Babyliss and I had been very happy with them. I have several friends who recommended GHD but since I didn't intend to rob a bank I felt I should choose something a bit cheaper( although GHDs do keep appearing on my Christmas lists!).
How Much and What Do You Get?
I purchased these around Christmas time and they were on half price offer at Argos at £28. I think the current selling price seems to be about ... ...sites so I would suggest it is easy to get them at less than £30. The straighteners are black with a 4inch long plate. There is a good length of cord which is useful to reach my mirror. The straighteners came with a heat protective wrap/pad. I felt this was quite flimsy and didn't seem to fit very well so I tend to rest mine on a heat resistant pad that is actually designed for use in a kitchen! Four clips are included, these are of adequate quality ...
Advantages: Temperature goes up to 230 degrees so works just as well as most of the top brands in the market Disadvantages: Quite big
...I would definately recommend the babyliss total freedom 230 to anyone as I feel they do a really great job, they're suitable for all hair types and are really good value for money.
Ideal for anybody looking for some good quality hair strgihteners who doesn't want to spend too much money.
I love them and wouldn't be without them! ...
Advantages: Easy to use, heat up quickly, heat mat, three heat settings Disadvantages: Can't think of any really!
...ones. I bought these Babyliss Pro 230 Straighteners for £36.39 (half price in Argos). The straighteners come with a little bag with a divider in the middle to keep the cord and plug away from the hot straighteners when you pack them away. It also comes with a heat mat which is ideal for resting your straighteners on in case you damage something. The four hair dividing clips are handy too! The straighteners are so easy to use. There are three heat ... ...thick. The straighteners heat up really quickly, approx 30 seconds. My hair is quite short in areas and I find it easy to use on shorter hair as well as the longer bits. I wish I had invested in a new pair of straighteners ages ago. These glide on my hair not like the others. They leave my hair really straight. Well worth what I paid for them and would definitely buy them again. ...
Advantages: Price, Heat, Worldwide use Disadvantages: Can't think of one
...cheaper brands. I chose the Babyliss Pro Straight 220 ceramic with worldwide use for 3 reasons a) they were a fraction of the cost of the GHD's b) they were ceramic plates and c) because they can be used worldwide unlike my previous GHD's which to my distress did not work in the US. These have two temperatures, get as hot as the GHD's and are light weight with a swivel cord so no danger of entanglement! These have a foam grip around the hottest parts ...
