...this. I ordered the Braun ES 2 Ion shine Satinliner from amazon for just over £40, which I was really impressed with given the price of my laset ones! They weren't the cheapest ones about, you can find them for about a tenner now but I always think it is better with these kinds of things to just pay a little bit more to get a reliable product. ...The other main change that Braun have made which seperates them from a lot of other products is the use of ions to control frizz. There are too little jets beneath the plates which surround your hair with ions making each strang of hair less charged by the static whihc is produced by the friction of straightening your hair. Advantages: Portable, cheap, good for touch ups
Disadvantages: bulky, not good for thick or curly hair

I bought these straightners a while ago thinking they would be great for doing my hair after having to wear a hat all day at work. While they did fit in my work bag they are a little big for your average handbag but they aren't too heavy which is good. Anyway so there i was in the staff toilets expecting to reapear looking like a supermodel with my straight hair! but no my hair was still a mess, smelt a bit funny and i was now stressed from trying ...
...to heat up, then once they do you can smell a slight burning aroma and they certainly dont straighten hair! although i have found that the curved plates work wonders on my mates thin hair for creating flicks The gas cartridges last a fair while and you can can buy them fairly cheaply if you look in the right places! Advantages: Cheaper than GHD!!!
Disadvantages: a little wider than other models

...few times I finf the braun model matches up to the GHD Brand any day of the week. The only minus being that the straighteners are a little wide but a big posisitve to this model is you can turn the temp down if its burning your hair.
